If you are a competitive player, i wouldn't recommend playntrade's tourneys due to lag and lack of competitive knowledge with their organizer. They are an easy win and fun, that's why i go.

If you are really a competitive player, i recommend Gamecove tournaments because i run them and make sure everything is tournament standard rules and regulations. If you want a chance to play GOOD players, Gamecove is where it's at. *lag free* lol

Yeah, I gathered as much from reading the thread. Truth be told, I'm new to competition, and that's really the only tournament I've been to.

But anyway, yeah, with the release of Brawl, I figured I should at least try competitive play. I'll be sure to try to get to that Gamecove one on the 9th.

BUTT 4 needs to be locals only, i think after one tourney of NOT getting their hind-quarters handed to them that the beaumont locals will trust Game Cove tourneys and wont be afraid of ****...

Don't worry, i will have another tourney ASAP to make up for having you guys sit this one out, and the best part is, since the locals weren't ***** at the tourney before it, they will come and gladly fill the pot for a REAL tourney =)

i hope you guys understand

EDIT: just so you guys know, i can't win the prize money at my own tournaments... so don't think this is an excuse for me to get money.

And Jity, the last time houston came we ***** the face of beaumontians so hard they got scared and didn't come to anymore tournaments.
This will help the more timid smashers gain confindence for when we strike again.

That's actually a good mindset for your first tourney, but once you get used to tournaments (2 or 3 should do the trick) you need to drop it for a more positive "I'm gonna beast" kind of attitude.
Get lots of friendlies and stay positive.

Well, I usually just play defense against Marth and Meta, they're the only characters that give me real trouble. Plus D3 is THE GAYEST CHARACTER EVER.
