Anyone play Heroes of Newerth here? I started playing several months ago and found it a lot more enjoyable than LoL.

its more like dota with "improved" mechanics, modified heroes/items, better UI, and built in hotkey remapping/vent/reconnection + other useful **** that isn't built into wc3

easier for newbs to learn than dota though for those specific reasons. too bad the community is just as bad if not worse LOL

Chris it's about time you get off that ancient WC3 stuff and start playing some HoN. Yes DOTA is still fun and takes a lot more time to pick up but they should at least change the hot keys.

Community in HoN is horrible lol. I'd say 5% good players, 15% bads, and 80% trolls. Game is still really good though just ignore the forums.

well hotkeys aren't even an issue for me anymore since i just rebind them to whatever with dotakeys

i played hon for about 3 months during beta, and hit 2.2k elo right before they reset it, then i quit cuz the game was getting stale for me

and yeah the community is bound to be terrible when testie is one of your top players (idk if he still is)

hi =D felt withdrawal so i was just stopping by... i want to play some melee

plus sf looks mother ****ing ugly in that game

also hon players have the weirdest justifications for builds

@Miharu rofl i know what you mean.. i still miss a lot of the dota stuff =[ but hon's been adding a lot of their own stuff lately so it's not exactly like dota anymore.

also i think there's a lot of dota models people made for hon heroes. i know for sure there's a sf one :D as for the people that play hon.. it's amazing how many angsty people are in one game lol

i still kinda keep up with the major changes in hon, since my friend always asks for my opinion on heroes every once in a while, and a group of us that used to play dota (but since on have kinda went our own separate ways gamewise) still talk about hero/balance changes in each game and **** lol

i really like myrmidon as a hero though, from what i've seen of him

oh good to hear about the sf model, maybe i'll dl hon again when i build my new desktop, we'll see

and yeah the community still ****ing blows even back here in dota
