New stuff that can be critiqued if you're nice

I played a few matches against my friends Puff/Peach and was wondering what I should do better.

I noticed I kept getting Back thrown off the stage and gimped by puff. Is it my shield pressure or me just not being patient? Idk, please watch lol

Also, I'm not completely sure but I think these vids make me look a little faster than normal because they were recorded at 27 fps instead of 30

Old stuff that can be critiqued if you're nice

Well I played and recorded a bunch of matches against my friends marth and would like some advice on what to do better.

What's really troubling me is that I have no idea how to edge guard him if he still has his jump and goes low. There's probably a bunch of other things but I'm not good enough to know what lol

I uploaded a looooot of them so just pick any random one that you'd be so kind as to critique. :)

On the ledge, drop down and jump an n-air. That should work I thinkkk...?

If you clash, be prepared to tech.

Edit:

I clicked 14 and its title is Stab (Falco) vs Jkun (Marth) 19
O o

anyway, you seem to have a strong falco - good movement, comfortable with shine combos and stuff. Impressive doubleshines. However, you seem to approach a lot with dair (well, relatively a lot. You're obviously not rushing towards him at every moment with a dair, but when you do approach it seems to be dair more than anything else). Try to mix your approach up more.

Also, around 2:30, you went off the stage against a Marth. Baaaaaaad thing to do ._.

Overall, though, strong falco :D I like it a lot.

only watched game 1....try cc to dsmash as an edge guard, you let him back on a few times when he would have died if you did this.

dont go on the ledge to edgeguard marth its risky, and easy to **** up

just get him below the stage where he has to use his b-up and do the lightsheild edgehog. if he b-ups directly to the stage then ledgehop and bair him off again rinse repeat.

if he makes it back to the ledge dont just run away and shoot lasers and let him back on for free. go to the ledge and harass him, crouch cancel and whatever he tries to do punish it with dsmash/shine or dtilt if it will kill. watch out if he gets smart and jumps up with counter tho

You're priy gud, Stab. First thing you might want to work on is instant double jump double lasers. You should SHL -> grab once in a while too.

Um. Basically just make your Falco more cunning and mix up your approaches from time to time (especially if they aren't working). You can sometimes do approaching SHL followed immediately by retreating SHL. Or you could empty SH waveland backwards and continue laser pressure from there. Don't let your opponent get comfortable with your approaching patterns, cos he will find ways around it, especially if you just employ universal Falco pressure tactics.

sorry i just have a hard time watching matches for critique..

i watched half of 23, you were doing some light shield stuff, which isn't good if marth has his jump. if he has his jump, do something else. if you see he jumped early, go ahead.

work on your shield pressure game. Basically your goal is to get a hit in the safest way. The longer you spend hitting his shield, the more risk you have of being grabbed.

Dont get grabbed. seriously, this is worse than being wobbled. You can tech and roll and DI anywhere you like, but once you're grabbed you're dead. You will be thrown up, you will be thrown down, you will be thrown forward, and you won't have fun at all.

work on your spacing. you seem to only know 2 zones inside him and on the other side of the stage. learn how far away from him you can be without being directly in danger. its so much more effective than running away and lasering until he comes to you.

You are too good for me to give proper critique buttttttt
(watched the first video only, will edit post after watching a few random ones)

timing. You could have taken his stock at one point if you had waited til he went below you on the edge. When your on the ledge and he's landing / gonna land on the stage, dont hit L , jump (di into/over him) and bair him or just nair him if he's high enough %.

approaches. (idk this but yours is all over the place, seems like its random half the time)

don't bait to the edge, remember that you have the lASERS. (again, video 1 = marth vs falco). you aren't forced to approach, especially if your at a disadvantage. **** with lasers > grab.
You ****, just don't make some very miniscul mistakes and you're pretty much set. I'm not at your level yet so I'm sorry I can't give good advice :\

big r is really good vs puff, he lasers really well to herd them either above or below him so then he can avoid her really good aerials, and he spaces really well too

hopefully he comes in here and offers some of his own advice

alright guys ive got a really good strat deal ive been doin lately. i think it could revitalize, revolutionize, and plain old **** in the falco community.

alright now pay attention cause it gets a bit convoluted at times.

first u have to hold down either L or R for the best results. BUT NOT TOO LONG!

then you will need to roll to position urself better.

then u have to ***IMPORTANT*** TURN AROUND***** and

finallllly, uptilt.

there u have it folks.
