I'm hyped for the Direct even if they only show games that have already been announced, but I doubt Shulk or X will make any appearances. My bet is on Diddy, maybe even Dixie. K Rool.... eh probably not. I'd be more inclined to say Shulk if there was not another major Nintendo release right around the corner. My best guess at this point is e3. Otherwise, near the release of X if it comes out prior to smash.

I don't exactly remember where I first heard of Xenoblade, but I started doing some research on YouTube on it and spoiled some of the game for myself (I regret it). I then had Xenoblade borrowed from a friend and eventually got my own copy after realizing how much there is to do in the game. It took me months to beat the game because I'm a very streaky gamer and I simply didn't have the time to play as much as I hoped to. League of Legends kinda took a lot of time, also, but that's getting off-topic. I finally beat the game and it became probably my second favorite JRPG of all time (behind TWEWY). Yeah, I loved the game.

And in other news, Nintendo Direct tomorrow! You guys have any hopes for Shulk tomorrow? I definitely see a possibility but considering that DKC is coming out tomorrow as well, I'm doubtful he'll be revealed this time around.

You never know. Perhaps Shulk could be shown kicking Diddy's ass.

Even Rosalina's reveal had a lot of build up towards it (Mario Kart and 3D World) so I think Shulk will definitely come

Only Shulk-ish type news I would expect is some sort of reference to "X." Maybe an actual title or a release date? I mean it's been a while since we heard anything about it so it's not impossible.

I can only see Shulk get revealed tomorrow if:
1. It's a Worldwide Direct hosted by Iwata. Whenever these Directs happen, we get Smash news if Iwata hosts them. If it's a local Direct, then we won't get any Smash news. I assume that Sakurai will only give info in regards to SSB4 to Iwata.
2. If it is a Worldwide Direct hosted by Iwata, then we must have some X news to go along with the Shulk reveal. I feel as though that we won't get Shulk unless we see X footage.

Tomorrow though, it's incredibly likely that we will see Diddy Kong get revealed. I just hope that he's revealed in a Pic of the Day and not in the Nintendo Direct.

Yeah I'm not gonna lie, that would probably excite me beyond justification haha. But oh well, I'm excited in general. I mean I expected NOTHING out of the December one and I ended up excited not just about Rosalina but also the Hyrule Warriors game. Point is, I'll probably find something to be happy about no matter what is shown.

If there is X footage tomorrow, the thread will definitely explode. If we get both however… I just can't imagine what it would be like.

Sakurai just retweeted the Nintendo Direct announcement.

I hope X + Smash will coincide Shulk's reveal, but realistically it'll probably be Diddy Kong for Tropical Freeze.

They wouldn't waste the reveal on Diddy if this Direct is going to be as big as everyone is hyping it up to be. Nintendo is currently in a tough spot. I'd go with either Dixie or K Rool. Based on the "evidence" I'm actually expecting X info at this point. They need to do a Direct on the level of the January one last year.

I want him to at least have a prominent role. Likewise with a lot of the other characters. I love continuity in these types of epic games. Endless possibilities plot wise. Your guess is as good as mine. Imagine if Metal Face is in it. This thread is evil for increasing hype, but hey at least everyone is happy

I'm actually starting to think Diddy will be in the regular PotD to make room for whatever newcomer is in the Direct. That's my hope anyway. I'm betting on more X info, but Shulk would be icing on the cake of course.

Diddy Kong wasn't revealed today…

I think that it's possible that we could get Shulk. However, I've read in the Little Mac thread that this month is Punch Out!!'s Anniversary… maybe we might see him instead. If either of those two get confirmed, I'll be happy. Though, I personally rather see Shulk.

Call me an optimist, but I'm hoping for Shulk and Little Mac, that way, I have my top 3 wanted characters (Mega Man being the third) confirmed, and I can rest easy about the roster as a whole .

February 11th was the 16th birthday of Xenogears. I saw this on Soraya's Twitter (Monolith Soft).I know Xenoblade isn't really related to the previous Xeno games, but something can possibly come out of it for the Direct

The lack of a Diddy reveal for the PotD sort of makes me feel like we'll end up getting either him alone, or him revealed along with Dixie. But seriously, the timing of this Direct is so annoying haha. Be a lot easier to speculate if it happened sometime next week with DKC:TF behind us.

Well, looks like I got my times wrong so I got back in time to watch it live.

The hype is building, hopefully I won't be dissapointed. All I need is an X trailer and I'll be satisfied.

But yeah, the battle system is basically identical Xenoblade but much more polished. And fighting with the mechs is super exciting. Can't wait.

I'm glad to see Little Mac get confirmed at last! It was about time too!

Enough about that. How about that X footage? From what we've seen, the gameplay looks pretty damn awesome. I just hate how Nintendo is teasing us with the name of the game. I still think that it's a Xenoblade sequel.
