I've heard a lot of people compare Shulk to pre-Brawl Isaac, which I don't agree with at all. Isaac was more or less a "He would be cool and unique in smash." while Shulk has A LOT going for him, like the Sakurai Monado tweet, voice actor tweets etc etc.
Hasn't Sakurai said that he doesn't want to give fans false hope in regards to Smash with his tweets?

Besides, please don't hate me, but a magic and swords-based moveset is what I'd envisioned for Isaac, and that's already partially taken up by a newcomer. I dunno, somehow I can't justify having two battle magey characters. :4robinm:

Even more besides, Xenoblade is a continuing first-party series made by the company voted Nintendo's closest first party companion in recent years. That beat out Intelligent Systems, people.

I'd...still 100% main that, and I'm one of those people who still thinks Jigglypuff has no business being in this game, and I don't enjoy the playstyle, and yet would be absolutely forced to main Jiggly Shulk. Anything for Shulk.

Yes, but that tweet still proves that Sakurai knows about Xenoblade. (And is maybe even a fan of the series.) The voice actor tweets are completely usable as hard evidence though.

Didn't the voice actor say that he was working on some projects, or something like that? That doesn't necessarily have to be Smash.

He has only done notable voice acting for two games (Xenoblade and Dragon age), and he confirmed that he is doing work on the next Dragon age one month before that tweet. The Shintaro Asanuma tweet has a Xenoblade_fes14 hashtag. In that same tweet he mentions how he wants to bring everyone good news soon.

Didn't they both get posted around the same time, too? Since the X localization isn't likely to happen until a couple months before the game comes out, and it's not about Inquisition (both because Adam already talked about that, and the Japanese VA wouldn't have been doing stuff for that, especially with #Xenoblade. (#SmashBros would've been the biggest give-away of all time.

So...yeah.

The Japanese voice actor hash tagged it #Xenoblade, and the British one cited multiple exciting video game projects, and all he is really known for is Xenoblade and Dragon Age.

I can just picture Sakurai going around breaking people's legs who leak stuff about Smash.

You just hear a knock at the door,, and unsuspectingly open it, only to find

waiting for you. Just that face. (and then your broken limbs.)

You open the door, to find no one.

Then, you suddenly hear a faint *laughs*
You look down, and you see Heropon Sakurai!

Do you guys think Shulk will have much trouble in Smash Run?
actually did not think of that if he plays like I think he will a fast glass canon maybe as long as he does not get beat up to much in it

I don't know if it's been discussed before, but how do you think the "Break-Topple-Daze" thing could work in Shulk's moveset? Personally I think it would be a cool Final Smash (Chain Attack) that would deal damage and knock down everyone on stage.

Do you think Shulk Players will have the hardest time in Smash Run or could they rely on certain attacks to minimize the troubles they come across?

I think (if Shulk is a glass cannon) that you'd just have to be smart about avoiding enemies. I still think someone like DK is going to have the hardest time, more item slots nonwithstanding. In the beginning his jump height and run speed seem like they'd just be a HUGE kick in the nuts.

Ganondorf will probably have the same issues.

Shulk will probably have trouble going vertically in Smash Run. I don't view him as the type with a lot of aerial movement.

I'd figure Shulk would at least be halfway decent in the air, seeing how he has several Artes where he basically levitates during their execution.
he'll be more ground based though IMO

Speaking of characters levitating, has anyone questioned how or why Robin is just strait up floating mid air in his reveal trailer? Like after watching it a few times I realized that it's kinda random.

It could go either way IMO, I mean Link can barely jump in Zelda games with the exception of Zelda II, however his air game's pretty gnarly.

Agreed. Don't ask me why, but Shulk gives me the impression that he'll have a fast falling speed. Maybe it's that bulky-looking Monado.

Also, Jungle Shulk as an alt. costume, por favor.

No, the reason Shulk is so good at falling is because it's practically a game mechanic. JUMPING OFF OF HIGH PLACES~
But seriously, those that have played Xenoblade know the temptation of jumping from massive cliffs. And succumbing to said temptation and dying.
Solfner, I'm lookin' at you.

But anyway, what do you guys think happened to the gang after the end? I mean, I'm of the personal opinion that Melia didn't go quite unnoticed by Shulk, despite what many may think.

the second we see something xenoblade in smash shulk is 100% in I think that's why we've not seen anythign xenoblade related because it'll be a clear give away of shulk in smash

When I jump off cliffs, it must always be with Reyn. "ALLEY-OOP"
