It may seem like bandwagoning, but I just wanna say I support Shulk, and believe he'll be revealed tomorrow (if we don't get Ridley )

Also, moveset of some sort:

• B - Monado Activate - Shulk activates the Monado (duh) and can use one of four Monado Arts depending of which direction one moves the control stick, which will affect Shulk and any nearby teamates in Team Battle. These last a few seconds, and once they run out, you've got to wait a bit for the Monado to recharge.
  • Up - Monado Speed - Ups agility, allowing him to run faster and jump higher.
  • Side - Monado Enchant - Raises power, hitting like a truck and dealing decent knockbak.
  • Down - Monado Shield - Surrounds Shulk in a defensive veil that gives him knockback resistance, as well as reflecting projecctiles. Still takes damage from attacks, though.
  • While either of these effects are actuvated, he press B again to use Monado Buster. A pretty strong attack, especially when used in tandem with Enchant, but it ends the power he activated previously.
• B> - Turn Strike - Shulk's original talent art. He delivers a powerful blow that sends enemies behind him. In addition to that, he immediately turns around for you to quickly rush towards the foe. Sounds mundane, but turning around like this takes significantly less time than just turning around manually, due to Shulk being kind of slippery.
• B^ - Skip Travel - Technically it's not an actual skill, but it's still cool, and convenient. He simply teleports to safety.
• Bv - Vision - When activating this move, his eyes will glow and he'll stand still for a while. Once he finishes charging, he'll flash white. As long as he is flashing, if he's hit by any attack that deals high damage or is able to send Shulk far away, he'll automatically dodge it and counterattack. After that, he'll stop flashing. He'll stop flashing automatically if you leave him like that for about twenty seconds.
• Final Smash - Chain Attack - He calls in Reyn and Sharla to trap all opponents in a Chain Attack. Using the right commands with each partner, you can build up massive damage, and finishes off with a deadly strike. Bomus points for over the top one liners after the combo.

And yeah, #MonadoMonday.

Ooh, I really like that. I also think they could really make him more unique if they used the effects of some of his regular arts for smashes. Like Backslash deals extra damage if you hit your opponent in their back. And, of course, his arts could have some kind of cooldown in order to balance them.

I kinda hope he doesn't have any gimmicks unless they are gimmicks that come naturally in a fight.
I mean I don't want to have people spamming backslash when ever they dodge around you...
No, I want a nice balanced Shulk with awesome moves and smooth game-play.

Agreed. But something like Stream edge easily breaking guards could be kinda nice.

I do too. Hard part is finding out what's balanced and what's not. Once again, I am not the Sakurai. I can't even begin to imagine what he's done for Shulk's moveset.

Hmm the discussion of the moveset reminds me of when I was working on my Shulk mod for SSBB. If anyone is interested:

I'm pretty curious about what Sakurai is doing for the moveset, and I wonder if there will be any similarities with the mod. Futhermore, I wonder what he's doing for custom moves... those just add another level of complexity to the whole thing.

I was pulling for HungryBox throughout the entire tournament and when he made it I nearly **** myself.

Agreed. I do think that Shulk will be revealed tomorrow, but I won't be too sad if it doesn't happen.

In all honesty if Shulk isn't revealed Monday tomorrow I won't be all that bothered we know he's in already through the "leak" I'm just hyped that anyone is getting revealed this month.

I'd prepare for whatever, but don't go exploding if it's another character's Monday with rage-posts. I mean, it'd be pretty freaking sweet if it's Shulk, but just be prepared for if it isn't, users! And seriously, we're getting a new character on a non-ND date! That's enough to celebrate, not who it is, but the fact that we're getting one in the first place!

I don't think the rage in this particular thread will be too bad, because everyone seems really levelheaded here. I will definitely try to calm the rage of those that aren't though! (If Shulk really isn't revealed that is.)

I'm legitimately worried if it doesn't end up being Shulk tomorrow. Not for me, but for this thread. With how ridiculously over hyped this place has gotten, I'd really hate to see the carnage that might happen should he not show up.

I tend to sleep in pretty late, but I will set my alarm for tomorrow. I can't miss this. Even if it's not Shulk, it'll be a new character, at least.

And since I don't live anywhere special, the stream will begin at exactly the listed time for me...7 AM.

I'll be hyped for an hour after the stream and then I'll most likely go back to sleep because I'm lazy like that.

Well, that certainly is a possibility, but I like to think that we are far too intelligent for those people anyway, so i'm not really worried.

Well, for the most part. My cynical side will have a heyday.

The best case scenario is Shulk. He's my number one and has the highest chance out of the other possible newcomers to be announced tomorrow, but I'm keeping my mind open for other characters. I'll be disappointed, but I'll come to realize that the non-Shulk character being announced is still positive, even if lesser than Shulk being announced.

Shulk is the best case scenario. The fact that we're getting a character at all is awesome. If Sakurai reveals any character at all tomorrow that's not Shulk, I'll still be super hype. Because I believe in the Sakurai. He'll put in a character that's worthy of the smash name.
