To be fair, I think the reason the number of supporters has suddenly grown is that a possible Shulk reveal is a few days away, and this supporter list is actually getting noticed. It's not like people are suddenly supporting Shulk all of the sudden. They're just officially joining the group.

But it doesn't make sense. While Shulk is a notable character, I don't feel like he's big enough to warrant such a special announcement. Sakurai has told us he's going to reveal a character three days ahead of time. Not only that, but the video is a live stream. I understand Shulk is a popular character and he's highlly requested, but I don't feel like he needs such a special announcement.

Regardless, Shulk is probably going to be revealed.

At the end of the day, we all love the same character. Whether it's because of playing the game, because of his potential/design, because of the awesome music you've heard around the Intertwebz, or even all of the above, you're supporting someone you like and that's all that matters here.

I just want to see this trailer...I want to be in our sub-forum (hopefully we don't have to wait too long for his character icon ) and I'm just dying to begin active discussion outside of the support thread.

So...any ideas as to what Shulk's reveal trailer might be like?

Maybe something like this...:

Mario and the gang run into some Mechon (like a couple M60s) and they attempt to battle them, not knowing that their weapons are useless.

As Link tries to destroy one, Shulk comes out of nowhere and does a Monado Buster and slashes the Mechon and they instantly explode.

Or something like that. Lol

So! New people! (And those that don't know) the Monado works with something called an Art Gauge that builds up when Shulk attacks.

Once it's built up, you can activate the Monado and use it's various powers.

Fresh opinions on Shulk having an art gauge, and having his specials change for a short time when it's built up? (He has a number of non-Monado-based sword strikes that he uses in addition to the powers.)

It's not really a special announcement or a special situation. When you think about it, all newcomers were revealed live online except for WFT and Pac-Man who got the developer conference treatment. All of them came in Nintendo Directs announced days in advance with him commenting on them in miiverse ahead of time.

The difference is that this time Sakurai isn't waiting for a Nintendo Direct to do it, so he has to do it live on the site.

as I said before the timing I think is what gives shulk the biggest chance out of anyone to be announced is the timing of this

Xenoblade X as confirmed at E3 great way to introduce the franchise to non xenoblade fans then smash

Shulk is in the leak that has gone 8/11 so far on characters

Sal the creator of this leak said there was gonnabe a character announced next week

the voice actor of shulk said he finished some voice acting but could not say who

and the people who made xenoblade pretty much started the #monadomonday hashtag

to me it just with all of these together seems like the perfect time to announce him
