Xenobrother is totally something I will start to use from now on. And regarding why Xenoblade is a good game: the story is good, the soundtrack speaks for itself, the characters are likeable, the areas are beautiful and diverse. The gameplay is hard to explain because I have never really played anything like it.

I really, really, really hate to say this but, I'm honestly not all that excited. Let me affirm that I am a Shulk supporter (in fact why am I not on the list?), but with the Gematsu leak, and all the retweets from the X crew basically confirming him three days in advance, the magical sensation of hype is all but gone from me. The same thing already happened with Palutena since everyone saw her coming from a mile away so I'm not too surprised at myself.

It's kinda like knowing what you're getting for Christmas a few days early. What you want is there, but the suspenseful fun is lost. I'm sure I'll be celebrating with you guys come D-day, but for now my hype is sadly ruined...

And the protagonist isn't your typical JRPG world-saving-hero cut-and-paste.

Not that I really hate that, anyway. Most JRPGs have lots of merits regardless of their protags, but Shulk got excellent characterization in addition to the other merits of the game.

@ Snagrio I feel you about Palutena, but for Shulk, I'm just so interested in seeing Xenoblade content, the character itself, and how he's going to even work in Smash 4 that I can't help but be hyped.

Palutena I pretty much guessed all that correctly in advance (even, it seems, her playstyle), but Xenoblade is a new series for Smash altogether.

Hype is still here for me buddy! We may know what we're getting for Christmas, BUT WE HAVEN'T HAD A CHANCE TO PLAY WITH OUR PRESENT (sorry for the all caps, I'm just excited...please understand)! The suspense to play with Shulk will still be here, so we'll be going into more speculation on his moveset, analysis, etc.

The fact is the community sought leaks and rumors so badly is alot of what is killing that hype. It was inevitable that one of them was going to be right and ruin some of the hype in some way.
