HAPPY BIRTHDAY PHIL!

so yeah, the CS club approved occasional tourneys in the CS clubroom. theres gonna be one or two a semester, depending on availability of myself and the officers as one has to be there at all times.

Its gonna be pretty much the same thing as the oldschool NCB. i'll be there setting up at like 10 am, and im gonna start taking stuff down at 10 pm.

$7 for singles entry, $10 per team. a dollar from each entry goes to CS. 5 dollars go to my lunch. My entree fee, plus that of an officer who would like to enter, will also be free.

65% to first, 25% to second, 10% to third. obviously rounded to whatever is convenient.

We're selling food but not ramen bowls this time. There will be trash cans this time. If the tourney is still going on at 11:00, we're gonna have to cut it short. Im fully confident that we'll be able to get it done on time if people dont play friendlies when they're asked to not.

Bring your setups as always. We'll have 8 or 9 TVs like usual.

There will be a Phil's Birthday Station where (exclusing early rounds of tourney when we need all TVs) phil gets to play all he wants.

i asked around about this event before planning it, and no one told me there was gonna be sfsu on that day. if it turns out that more people are interested in sjsu, and considering this isnt exactly a regular event, it might be more prudent to move sfsu. however if interest is low and more people wanna go to sfsu instead then i'll talk to phil and the CS officers to see if we can move

above all i just wanna get a consistent partner, who will team with me at just about every tournament. that way i can work on teamwork (which i kinda suck at now), and i'll have more incentive to play and improve.

sheridan is the obvious choice since we live close together, and i think we'd **** when we're both on, but we haven't been meshing well recently. oh well.
