What character is the hardest for you to beat, and why? Personally, Jigglypuffs really screw me over, even more so than any other character (except for probably a well-played Pika, but they're rare on our server). While down air can be DI'd out of without too much effort, I have the most trouble with being interrupted by neutral airs or, when it works, a drill to uptilt to uptilt to rest combo.

So, who would be your hardest matchup?

Also, in b4 pika

"in b4 pika"...on your own thread? Why does that seem so...pointless ~_~
I'd say campy Kirby on Hyrule, uptilt on the left side is almost unapproachable because of the stupid slant :lick:

Okay playing with Fox against Ness on congo jungle. First off Ness Dair vs. Fox recovery = dead fox, and with ness's unreal throw its so easy to put fox off the the stage. Even getting under the stage and going through results in a short hop JC'd Dair that will meteor smash you while ness is chillin on the stage. Also, ness can get under the stage and blast himself through right at you and shield is fairly unreliable against that attack and from below (evade and reign hell when he lands). Also fox is all about the Uair, Usmash and ness Dair is like kryptonite against that.

Fox's Bair and Fair outrange Ness's Dair so easily, not to mention Congo Jungle has a short ceiling.

I take offense at that 'good Pika's are rare on out server', Blackshadow :O

asianaussie here, btw :O

Oh, and a spacing-based Link, combo-hard Fox/Falcon and a Ness in the right hands are my worst foes, especially when I'm not playing Pika.

I only play falcon online so I dont have many matchups to talk about till I get my adaptor. ( I cant play anything but falcon or jigglypuff with a Dpad controller)

I find falcon vs mario/pikachu the hardest. Ness can be annoying but ftilt seems to **** him plus he's easy to edgeguard.

Mainly pika and mario because they can combo **** falcon, plus mario's fireballs. AND they have sooo many recovery options, makes it hard for falcon sometimes, and missing 2-3 edgeguards can easily lose you the match.

I've always had difficulty facing other falcons. This matchup I have no confidence in no matter who I use but sometimes I do better with off characters such as DK and Link against Falcon.

My assassination Main against other players is Falcon too but I simply can't do as well against other Falcons since I have trouble even doing multiple up-airs and my edgeguarding is horrible too. I prefer to do non up-air combos and prefer tech chase combos over a lame double up smash --> multiple up-airs --> up - b combo not only because its hard for me to do but its lame, lamer then a lame kirby

Ness is difficult since his head enlarges and becomes an unstoppable melon, catching you off guard as you fly and became a star. Most people are very predictable with him though, simply baiting them into doing an up-tilt gets you a free combo chain

Pika could be difficult, luckily not too many good Pikachus.

Kirby is fightable if you space correctly

in all seriousness im one of the few good pikachus on egx so...no he isnt
...But pikachu is an easy character to get good with. Yoshi, DK or Samus have really few good players because they are hard to be good with them

No, not really. Pikachu is an easy character to spam utilts/bthrows/supid nubby combos with, but not easy to get good with, seeing as few people online can really do aerial combos and z2d without utilt abusing. And bthrowing Fox out of DL does not prove you're good with Pikachu, sir ;(

exactly, well sort of

In order to do well with pika you will need to spam U tilts and B throws, these are some of his best attacks.

The things average pikas cant do is

U tilt->U air combos

N air defensive strategies

~Mind games~

Plus average pikas use F air a lot more then they should

Well, I was talking about winning with him. True, being technically good with Pika is not that easy.

Ah, good to see you, though in all seriousness I can't really name a great Pika who plays on Desiree's. Judas and Sweet Revenge have no mindgames at all, just tech skill (but frequently lose to me, the keyboard player), and Kuromatsu hates playing top tiers (but is probably the best player on our server). But if you play me and Kuro more, you could probably get right up there if you tried :D

out of an usmash in a falcon ditto you can pull off uair to falcon punch with good timing. I also try not to end combos with up b unless thats the only option. Upb doesnt have the greatest knockback or angle of knockback.

Fair is falcons most useful combo continuation move

most people think its the other way around, the spacing is just ****ty for jiggly though
I think it depends on the stage. On hyrule, DK can do some very easy giant punch combos. Jiggly dies at like 30% from it. and there's fthrow -> giant punch as well, which is just as annoying. Backthrow kills jiggly really easily too. On Dreamland it might be more equal though.

i dunno, i think DK has a good run on Dream Land too, Uair --> Usmash/DK Punch combos end jiggly easy too xP

Plus this stage allows for more Back throw kills for DK, being a smaller stage and all...and we all know DK loves his Bthrow

The platforms on Dreamland make it easier for Jigglypuff to approach DK, giving her more maneuverability through the air. But yeah, maybe DK still has a slight advantage on that stage...
