Okay so I sent an email to his yesterday actually asking for the venue date. I think it will be mid August. Also the tourney will be SSF4/Brawl+/Brawl-/RPS.

Gi you still wanna run it right?

Please don't host it on the August 14-15th weekend.

It's one of my closest friends birthday party, and I don't want to miss this.

of course, no brawl...hmm that might hurt attendance but I would like to try it. I just don't want us to get ***** by the venue owner for not getting enough cash. Like we could obnly have ssfiv players from our community cause I don't know how the actual ssfiv community would feel attending that place. They are a MUCH more mature crowd. So we might have to have it as a side tourney and put brawl back. But I am going to take tin's idea of having b+ while running brawl. I thought people would cry thart is why I didin't do it before but if people didn't that means they are fine with it.

Here's an idea.

If we do have Brawl, why not have THAT as a side event?

Brawl straight brackets
Brawl+ Singles pools
Brawl+ doubles straight brackets (if anything)
Brawl- straight brackets
RPS
SF4 Straight Brackets (realistically, like 10 people will enter)

I'm justing throwing in my two cents here. But that idea seems quite plausable to me. I would definitely show up to this tournament even if it was just Brawl+. I dont know if people like Holy would show up, but we can get a firm grip on who is actually part of the Brawl+ community, rather than just people who like throwing away money to play it. I think given enough tournaments, and enough people coming to them, Brawl+ can get as big of hype, as Brawl does.

Yes Patches. Most of the time the Brawl players dont join + cause they spent their money on brawl doubles/singles. Im sure this would be just as big. Anyways Tins last tourney had like 10 people if I recall. :)

You know what? **** it, it doesn't hurt to try. time for B+. No brawl at all. Hopefully we can get some people for ssfiv that game is the ****.

Not gonna lie guys, I've been playing more B+ than anything recently. I'm loving my Lucas right now.

We should honestly just throw something at York before I go. We had more than enough setups/space to do so. Hell the venue is free too.

You can't put stage hacks on Brawl+ without Brawlbox because of the changed boundaries. And I don't have textures either.

Doing a tourney at york sounds sick, the less rooms we use, the better, pplo need to bring dem TV's

What events would we hold at this?

(and would the venue be open on weekends)?

Oh, well. If you could PM on how to do all that ****, that would be wonderful. I'm pretty stupid when it comes to Brawl+

project M should definitely replace brawl -.... would attract more/different people

founders at yorku is closed on weekends... besides im sure he meant a tourney instead of the casual during the week.

Don't think I can do that. I'd need clearance from the backroom tbh, and I don't think they want tournaments JUST YET. I'll bring it for casuals though.

I got a go from the BR. I still want to run Minus. I guess I'm going to cut out Brawl+ doubles for PM straight brackets and friendlies.

Melee community hopefully comes to this.
