the pot money is completely out of his hands, so he has nothing to gain. it would be a nice gesture is all, considering dunk is the reason why socal's any good at melee, houses 31763 people at every regional, and is just the fuking homie

and to me, it's more the fact people came in here saying dunk should get free entry (not exactly that politely since it was more commanding then asking), then insulting irvine, not exactly the best way to get free entry for someone considering the tourney is in irvine

dunk has an 8000 dollar ticket and u guys won't help out even 5 dollars?
look at chris hu when his house burned down. The Street Fighter community was immediately down to help and many pitched in money. Yet you can't even waive his 5 dollar fee when he comes over this saturday for the Grev tourney?

if im not mistaken, dunskies venue fee is waived (which in some sense is stab paying it [or not, im no TO]), and everyone agrees dunskies doesnt have to pay pot fee if the money winners are ok with missing out on a couple dollars...
so the argument in this post is that s2j (and others) want stab or grev or whoever is organizing this tournament to personally pay 5 dollars for dunskies, am i not mistaken?
yet the argument is that grev or whoever "can't even waive his 5 dollar fee when he comes over this saturday for the Grev tourney?"... stab is nice enough to waive venue fee AND pot fee, and from the way his post sounded didnt want to waive pot fee cause it's for the pot, yet gsub already said if its ok with everyone, they'll waive it...
and again stab's reason to not PERSONALLY pay for dunks pot fee is cause he never went to dunks.

hard to believe i'm with the irvine kids but i am
free entry comes out of the pot of the winners, not of the tournament as a whole (which is a reason why i thought all the free entries being thrown around at CGC were incredibly stupid). a free venue is all you can expect the TO to do
but really, instead of fighting for a 'free' entry, mango why don't you just pay for his singles?
since stab has already weighed in, there's no point in continuing to campaign, especially for something so trivial, when all that'll happen is people getting mad

what you guys should do is roll in deep
with mango/lucky/hugo you guys are gonna get most of the singles pot back probably
johnny/oscar, hugs/lucky and mango/whoever will probably place in the money for teams
just win all the money and give it to dunk (minus entry fees and other costs, if you want)
repeat at every socal tournament, and you'll start to make a dent

So who's fault was it that someone got the ticket? A REAL homie wouldn't let a homie get a ticket or help him out to get out of that mess not into one. Stupid *** Johnny, Oscar, Joe and Mango! That's right! you guys are stupid *** *****es >=[
Who the hell paid for my 2 $350 ticket (one for speeding and one for not making a complete stop) I'm sure no one from the smash community help me out at all. Kira and Zhu was there to see me get a ticket. =/
Yes Richard is a homie <3 and such but seriously, Chris Hu's house burned out was an accident compare to Richard's drinking problem/party/whatever that got him the stupid ticket. If it was some kind of accident like an car accident, I'll chip in 5 or 10 bucks to help him out but if it's a problem that he got into himself, I'll let him borrow money from me instead of donating it to him. Here you guys are calling people *******, pressuring Stab to waive it and such when you can put that energy and time on helping Richard selling some **** that he doesn't use or help him manage his spending etc.
S2J, Joe, MaNg0 and Lovage: I'm sure you guys wanna help out Richard which it's fine but this is not the right way to do so. Hella bias and ****. LOL Mango I bet you that you won't even pay for Richard's single fee. If you guys wanna help him out, just win a few tournaments and donate all your money to him but I'm sure some of you guys won't do it.

Richard might as well go work full time to pay that off instead of wasting money/time on parties and ****. It's all fun and games til someone gets ****ing ***** hard.
I went to tournaments while I had about $4000 in debt and no one was paying that **** off for me.
Some of you guys don't understand how hard it is to earn money, some of you guys act like money falls from the sky or something like that.
Stab the moment you give in to them, they'll keep doing this more down the line and you'll keep getting **** not just in smash but freaking real life so don't be a pushover >=[
