Alright I watched your first 2 matches.

One thing I noticed, I don't think you EVER used ftilt (actually, once). It's a great spacing tool with decent range. Your utilt use was good though.

MOAR LAZERS.

On stages like battlefield, you need to learn how to apply what I call 'platform pressure'. This is capitalising on the opponent whenever they are on a platform. Falco's nair and bair are very good at this, particularly nair. IIRC, you only applied platform pressure once in the second video.

One thing I've learnt when playing falco is that you shouldn't be expecting gimps. I've lost numerous stocks because I've stayed on the edge too long, or I stuff up the edgeguard because I get a bit greedy. First stock, second match, you tried to hit pit with a laser and paid for it. You also tried to go for numerous bair stage spikes. Edgeguarding is pretty much just free damage for falco, so just hit with that bair or laser while the opponent's recovering and then return to the stage. As falco you should not be expecting gimps, and you don't want to resort to firebird if you mess up.

My only thing is that when Pit is spamming his arrows like that, get some breathing room to use your Reflector. It won't work if Falco's not at a decent range.

Thanks for the advice guys but wow no love from the falco boards eh? lol. I'll definitely take into account all those things and expect the rest of the vids to be up during the week.

Updated with two new matches. I tried hard to work on what vlade said and worked on being less aggressive overall. More criticism is greatly appreciated.

you didnt really grab enough, if you start a match a grab is what you want, its faster then anythng else and results into more damage. what i also say alot is that you ran in and avoided his attack, what about outprioritizing? learn the details of the matchup =). also dont phantasm on the stage, ever. phantasm recovery is for the ledge and i learned this the hard way, only phantasm on the stage if the guy is close and has no attacks to interupt your phantasm.

good falco though

edit: try to use Dsmash and Usmash for killing some more, utilt is for dealing damage more then usmash and usmash should be unstaled 90% of the time.

it's so confusing when you write dates the way everybody except the US does, it looks like January 3rd.

stupid US making up their own methods for everything: inches, Fareheit, wtf is wrong with us?

Yeah I know that a grab is what you want at the start but its really hard to grab since Lezard knows all my little tricks. If I try to jab->Grab he interrupts with his jab and sometimes he grabs me instead. I don't really try to force out a grab I just fight and if an opportunity presents itself I take it. I'll try to make more opportunities though. I think one of the reasons why I don't grab as much as I should is cuz I fight a Marth alot On the killing, yeah I use Upsmash sparingly for a reason I dont know, I think maybe its because I dont really know WHEN to use it and I usually leave myself open. I'll work on it though. My plan for killing currently is to take them past 160% where dtilt and utilt can kill. And finally the phantasm. He was close to the edge so I got scared and thought he might try to edgehog. Hence why I did it on the stage.

Hmm I dont really see myself trying to force a grab ever. I'll work on the shdl timing though. Pretty much got it down for the most part. Also, how should I change the dates lol. Switch the month and day?

I liked the first match. I notice though that when you've stopped trying to stage spike as much. But when the opportunity presented itself, you took it. gg

when you do your chaingrabs try to finish them with a gatling combo. this gives quite a bit of damage and puts the opponent in a pretty good position for more juggling. also MORE LAZERS lol

i have about 6 more matches save but i have to do some cleaning up, Its very confusing
