I'm a wimp with it. I know a great time to grab is when someones landing or recovering high, but when ever I see that I think free ftilt. When should I be using Grabs?

When you think they're going to block.

You should grab and dthrow, then follow up with ftilt or another grab. You get tons more damage that way.

You save your U Tilt till it kills. There's no reason to diminish it. Furthermore, 'choking' with your grab counts in your queue to strengthen your used moves.

When to Grab:
Laggy attack.
Non canceled aerial
Perfect Shield.
Shield grab.
Jab to Grab.
When they shield.
When they botch a spot dodge.
When they epic fail at a recovery move.

You should almost always down throw with Snake, unless your opponent is at ~160% and you are towards the edge of the screen, with your back to the edge. At that point, you can attempt to go for the kill with the back throw.

Personally, I use my grabbing (with any char except the ones with a CG) as a defense.

OoS Grab is my favorite way to punished people, execpt if you can get a shot with your good ole RPG launcher in.

Perfect Shielding works better than shield.

^ first hit of ftilt - either jab or grab - if jab, only use two hits tops, then grab - once you grab him, dthrow techchase till your shield runs low - ftilt

I should also point out that Snake has a great grab pummel. It's very fast and has high DPS.

D throw to a Tech chase. It's best with snake. Just try to get a feel for what your oppenet tries to get up with.

Only reason why i enjoy using snake , his grab game is epic mainly the d throw tech chase though.

I just grab when I feel like it. I like to mix things up a lot so i'm not so predictable.

OK I should have changed the question. I know a lot of tricks with his grabs. Tech chase, grab releases the whole thing. My question is when should I grab. When I'm in playing a Snake and I'm getting thrown all over the place, I want to try it out. Every time I try to grab I come short or my grab armor decides to not work. I know how to do it with ROB, like it's great out of a Dtilt. What are some Grab setups for Snake, or should I just wait for them to come near me?

Wrong. Grabbing sets up into an almost guaranteed Ftilt, plus the possibility of getting regrabs.
