BOYS AND GIRLS, THE TIME HAS COME
Gold Coast is finally putting on its own monthly smash tourney!

WHAT - Melee singles, melee doubles, and crews if there is time like last time)

WHEN - Sunday, 30th November 2014 from 10:30am - 8:30pm
10:30am registration as doubles will start as 11am

WHERE - Expressive Ground, Tallebudgera Drive PALM BEACH QLD 4221
(Please Google Maps the venue as it veers from a main road then around and under the motorway)

CHANGES TO COSTS -
Venue entry will be $10
Melee singles will be $5

SAUSAGE SIZZLE - Inbetween doubles and singles there'll be sausages avaiable for $2 each with bread/sauce/onions/cheese included if y'all desire them


There are free soft drinks for anyone who desires them


ONE AND ONLY RULE: There is a breakage bond I had to pay so PLEASE dont be reckless and respect every tangible object in the venue since I would hate to make someone pay the $250

It's just get in, get out very quickly and you get limited satisfaction ...........(insert sex joke here)
And unlike the pros(titutes) you don't get paid for it :dkmelee:

Awesome tournament!

The venue is fantastic and red dik you lessly good value.

Having a sausage sizzle so people don't have to **** off to get food is amazing.
The day runs SO much more smoothly as a result.
And 5 minutes from the beach.

Broken!

Yeah gotta admit the venue, despite looking like I was gonna get mugged when I arrived, was pretty damn awesome. And the sausage sizzle was awesome too, thanks to the guys that volunteer to cook that up.

Had a sweet time, GGs to everyone. Can't wait for the next gc tourney.

Congrats to g$, tris and the choking pupster crew for winning (your welcome)

Great tourney, but in the future, if I'm paying $10 for singles, I best be getting free sausages, or split the fees into $5 entry, $5 singles entry and $5 for all the sausages and soft drinks you want or chuck some money's towards a doubles pot (but that's my opinion)

Anyway, great day, lotta fun, the best venue, craving the next one (provided its after all the exams)

Very valid opinion, we'll be changing around the pricing for the next tourney to make more sense and be more suitable for everyone. Prepaid food and doubles pot are great ideas and we'll look into all of it before next time.

Surprised it went so smoothly anyway, glad people seem to have enjoyed it.

Can't believe the timing.

I got my copy of smash on Saturday, found this forum on Sunday, and after reading the competitive forum, thought I should look around for a local gathering.

Searched for one this morning and realised this event ran yesterday, less than 5 minutes from my house.

Stoked there is a monthly event, but gutted I was too slow to get involved.

Sounds like it was great fun and well run. I'm very much a noob, but would love to drop into the next event and meet you folks.
