It was supposed to show you that stats in one game have no effect when the character is carried over to another game.

Maybe you meant stats matter as in they matter in D/P. :)

all he said was blaziken can't beat a grass pokemon and if so that was in the anime where stats and type don't matter quite as much.

so since we're in the gokuzaru thread, why don't you tell me why you support him oni
lol, i dont. i thought he could be cool if he was similar to goku, but now that i've realised he isnt, i couldnt care less about him. id rather have marowak. i still think he would be better than blaze though. you have to realise that the whole pokemon franchise is full of rip offs (salamence, beutifly, that magikarp clone) but you cant let that get in the way of their popularity. the fact that it doesnt have signature moves like sky upper and blaze kick auctually makes it more unique than blaze. it gives it more possibilities.

^^^In your mind, something having the same attacks as something that came earlyer in their series makes them "more unique" than the earlyer model? And I hope you know that by puting "more" in front of that statement states that you are not using Unique in the first definition any more. . .

Blaze's major issue is that Sceptile (and to a lesser extent, Swampert) are equally capable, physically, to be in brawl. Thus, if he did get in, there would always be the question, long after Ruby/saphire is forgotten... Why Blaze, over the other two? (five, counting the D/P starters, which would be out before Brawl)

Gokuzaru dodges this issue by being compared to a mecha-penguin and a island-turtle. His competition could very well be make into stage elements, while he himself is far more active and speedy.

i dont mean more unique in pokemon (gokuzaru is one of the least unique pokemon in the whole franchise). i mean more unique as a SSB character. its widely known moves arent present with characters currently in the game.

the only moves that i can seem to compare with present moves is flame wheel with kirbys dash a/fire fox, and i dont even know its sig moves yet.

i can compare fire punch, double kick, quick attack, blaze kick and sky upper.

No, thats not really the case. Why Blaze and not them? Because she is the most wanted of the 3 starters well the other 2 are, for the most part, rarly brung up and hold only a tiny bit of fan-base. Kind of like " why Pichu and not riachu". One is just much more wanted than the other.

P.S. I also heard the Mew was one of the higher/ highist wanted pokemon for melee. . . do we hear "why M2 and not Mew"? No, cause M2 was just wanted more.

pichu or raichu? even you know why. because it represents the introduction of baby pokemon and the 2nd gen (at least, thats what you told me)
why mew and not mewtwo? because mew is part of a pattern with celebi, jirachi and manaphy. mewtwo is its own pokemon with nothing holding it back, and its seen more as an ultimate pokemon than mew. its not based on fanbase alone.

So wait a min. . . .you say Pichu got in to rep baby pokemon in the 2nd gen but dont think that P&M should rep team work in the 3rd gen? Or any 3rd gen pokemon coming in to rep 3rd gen?
Thanks, I knew you would step into it.

Again, when melee came out there where only 2 yes TWO pokemon games and there is no pattern in only 2 variables. Also, one can argue that MewTwo is in the "Super powerful legendary pokemon thats seen as a villian once every other gen" pattern because of Deoxy ebing in the 3rd gen.

And yes, there are more reasons why M2 got in over Mew (Villian) or Pichu over Riachu (2nd gen mascot) but I used them as examples of something thats related to some other things getting in over them.

i auctually dont believe in BS such as baby pokemon introduction being important enough to be represented in a game outside the pokemon franchise. i was just stating thats what you believe because you're stating that blaziken's demand makes it more important than other starters even though it doesnt represent anything. team work in pokemon also isnt much of a big deal to have pokemon added because of it because SSB already has teamwork represented. you know believe generation representation is BS.

I BELIEVE that popular, highly wanted, well known NEWER pokemon will get in. . . . Does that = gen rep? No, cause newer means. . . well newer. It could be 3rd or 4th gen but it would be newer. Believeing in gen rep is believing that Pichu should stay to rep 2nd gen, [insert pokemon] should be in to rep 3rd gen and [insert pokemon] should be in to rep 4th gen. Thats gen rep, given ALL the gens rep and not just the newer games of the series. (I think that Pichu should be replaced by P&M as you should know by now. . . . And I never said Pichu reps 2nd gen baby pokemon! I said he got in because he is seen as the 2nd, which was than the newest, gen mascot)

And Blaze could rep a few things. . . .
Blaze + red bandanna COULD rep pokemon MD.
Blaze her self could rep the popular starters Ect
And I never said she was more important, I said that she was more wanted. She is the highest wanted non-movie pokemon with the other starters WAY behind on the "pokemon wanted" list so wouldn't adding her make more sense?
