She's still town to me. We've seen the product of Washed's info firsthand in the exchanges he's given from full sized gigabot to miniature laser pointer. It sheds doubt, but not enough that I'm going to ever consider her scum from it.

What are the chances that he'd give scum an investigative power that can peg roles? (and more importantly: why would she ever leave hints in thread if she was scum, she'd just talk to her scummates and leave town entirely in the dark)

She COULD have. But she never had to. I was already taking up the mantle on the Gorf lynch, and once she posted that suspicion, saving her slot. Pointing it out at that point would have just got her NK'd and wasted my gambit.

My point is: the Gigabot project is decidedly the town flavor for this game. I.E: town roles are being given characters sided with the gigabots. (Commander Stryker, Pheonix Stryker, Steven the Black Gigabot pilot etc.)

So on top of the fact I'm supposed to believe that there's already a non-working vig in Bardull, and a back-up vig in John as well as JTB as a vig AND they've been doing all the night killing. I'm also supposed to believe that the green-protesters people who wanted the Gigabot project to be shut down are town aligned as well. It's a stretch by any means.

Maybe one or the other, but certainly not both. Sounds like a terribly under-informed fake claim/safe-claim to me.

K sure, here's teh beef:

I'm still Commander Stryker Assistant #1 (the blonde one), but I'm Town Laser Reflector, not flavor cop. (no really: I'm serious)


In other words: I'm vanilla since my main job is solely to LAUNCH IT, except for I'm prepared on the off chance a wild laser comes charging at my person, in which case I'll deflect it (Washed's phrasing is lol)

I've yet to determine exactly what that entails: but I mostly suspected it was a red herring role from Washed. Either that or the vig (who I initially assumed would be the Green Gigabot laser) wouldn't touch me.


So with that out of the way, down to details of why I gambit'd, and why I'm still pretty darn sure Meow is town:

John claimed Assistant #2 and I backed down since there was no way in my mind he could fake that flavor role without being legit.

She could have just been highly believing of me, but I didn't think that was it, it was too unlike her to post that. It struck me as funny, so when I did a re-read of the section after the John claim dust settled I examined it a little harder. That's when I realized John didn't claim back-up vig like my mind paraphrased it to be: he claimed sidekick. Hmmm

That's a mighty big coincidence, more than I'm willing to accept as so. But the real deal clincher came when I was pressuring Gorf the next day and looking for opinions since I wasn't willing to let him just slide by. When Meow chimed in on the matter, she had this to say:

And we all know how that went down. There was no way those were both coincidence, so I took up the flavor cop guise with the assumption she was an investigative role able to peg these, hopefully giving her another day out of the spotlight and therefore not murdered. I figured with laser reflective powers I'd at least be a slightly better target for death since I wasn't going to be directly helping if never targeted, if we got lucky maybe scum would even die from it. (thus: no doc on me requested at end of day)

Considering Gorf flipped Jailer, I highly doubt my gambit was in vain. Now I guess we just wait to see exactly what kind of help she is and what she has for us today.





Beyond that: Since I'm laserproof, my idea for the rest of today was to point the laser pointer at me and see what happens. That way if it's a death ray in disguise because Washed is a troll there's at least a good chance it's going to bounce off and not kill me.
