Scum at this point, I thought he was a misdirected cop but when I reread it with him claiming to want a vig on Bardull it wouldn't make sense.

I didn't think about that at first when I thought about his claim and janitor death, thought it was mafia due to the lack of a flip. Then Gorf flipped the character Ryker claimed to be, which makes me more think he was scum.
