wow I cannot BELIEVE the **** that passes for ****ing analysis these days. There's a special combination of goggling, ****** tunneling, and possible (**** if I know at this point and **** if I care enough to find out when I know so little) scum wrangling for a crucial ML going on here. At this point
Kuz what the ****, man. The amount of predetermined spin you're putting down on literally everything Glyph said makes a perpetual motion machine look like a ****ing fat guy on a treadmill. I am literally stupefied by this. I don't know what to tell you other than to sit your *** in a corner and actually reflect on what's being said before you ctrl+V the same old **** some more. Maybe you'll learn something.
Or maybe you're scum. I don't know. I've still barely read ****. Take what you will from what you will as you will.
If this is seriously ****ing happening I expect oversight for Kuz from here forward because I get the worst rumbles from his replies to Glyph.
So the Butt. We sent Ran the Butt because, yes, it was ****ing funny, but also because we have no idea how Laundry plans to interpret the drawings. None at all. The point of sending a butt to Ranmaru was to send something that we expected to be harmless in all manners and try to get a gauge on what the **** Laundry was going to do with the powers. As a bonus it might have shaken Ranmaru's tree a bit and helped to read him, as his Questions To Nowhere playstyle has no standard to which I can hold it. Ranmaru being selected for the Butt had nothing to do with giving him a power and everything to do with trying to sort out the question marks of our ability. What if we'd targeted a "strong player" (more on that blarghness later) and Wash interpreted it as them becoming in possession of a toxic fart cloud that would grant some minor ability and also fatally poison them? Think about it for one goddamn second.
So N2 was officially real *****s mode. Here's what G Life broke down for me: John's a back-up that is going to be inheriting vig powers from Bardull, and his towniness is basically confirmed by role semantics and other shenanigans. Oh, but also Bardull tried to use his vig on someone and it didn't work, and he flipped as a popgun vigilante or some ****. I read a decent chunk of D2 and skimmed the rest when I got home from work sat night, and saw mention from Bard that his gun "sounded weird". Okay. So somebody replaced the Commander's gun with a phony. Easy enough. Also he got lynched through a cc by Ryker who is presumably scum
So the vigilante starts with a worthless gun? He's confirmed town? There's an obvious vig target? Good chance he's gonna die, but if he doesn't his best use is as a guy that can murder people on town behalf. Since as it stands he's apparently a backup of a red herring role, unless there's other role shenanigans I'm not going to speculate on.
I made a few suggestions to G Life and then left it to him for a while to make the call because he had been present. One was a kevlar vest, but I also thought John might be a doc target. After all... he's apparently confirmed town, and a power role. so I also gave Glyph the suggestion of just drawing him a new gun altogether, a revolver with the cylinder open and six incredibly real bullets being loaded into it.
Glyph said he'd think on it. Later he made the suggestion of the eyepatch laser, which yes, Stryker uses to murderize two guys that were about to kill him. Murder. Protection. Covered all the bases, he felt. Worked for me. There's no such thing as a popcap laserbeam.
Kuz's meta about what I would do wrt strong endgamers and yadda yadda is so completely off base that I have to lean toward him getting it wrong on purpose. I do not give one iota of a **** about who would or would not make a strong endgamer, and the reason for that is that fmpov I am the only thing town ever needs to win a game if I can get there. I don't say such things lightly, but hey, there it is. I don't like throwing stock or faith in someone else to carry on in my absence if I can help it. Ever. If I can't make it that far, oh well, I'll work hard to shape the game positively in what time I have. Which brings me to my next point.
Someone that can be turned from a red herring dud vigilante into an actual vigilante is a hell of a lot more useful to me than a strong player in a game I've read about 20% of. Of course, this is all academic, considering that it has been glaringly ****ing obvious that Glyph has had the wheelhouse for literally like 99% of this game, with my strongest impact on anything being cosigning on the two drawing ideas which were both pitched and rationalized by Glyph alone, and yet here Kuz is trying to use what he thinks I would do as facts of incrimination. How is this **** not getting looked at?
And the point about the eyepatch laser being blocked by the eyepatch is the reachiest reach of all. If we can't trust the mod to even interpret the drawings in accordance to the flavor when they are 100% in line with the flavor, what the hell is the point of even USING this role, or its existence for that matter. Stryker uses the eyepatch laser to defend himself and KILL TOW BAD GUYS. What the **** else do you want, seriously. This in particular is some of the worst reaching I have ever seen.
That's what I have to give. If I find something productive to do later, I'll do it.
