I'm the Town Vigilante. I shot John last night. That is why he heard the loud noise. In my role PM, it says that "my gun doesn't sound the way it used to." Or something. I have to check.

Ok, so according to the flavor, something's wrong with my gun.

It shoots normally, and I have 3 shots, but the sound isn't right. However, my target SHOULD die.

I watched that entire series, and the Commander's gun seemed perfectly normal. He used it twice (I think) in the entire series. Once when he shot the guy who had "taken over" the Gigabots, and at the end. I can say he fired a lot more than 3 times at the end.
I don't remember his gun sounding different.
