It's what I've been using recently. Some of the tuts aren't so hot but they have some good ones in the tutorial index thread.

Yeah, they only have a few good ones. It's just something to get used to the tools and what they do. I think I'm gonna go ahead and get ranked while I'm posting her with my photobucket album up.
I used gimp for about a week, stopped for a few months, and just now picked it up again. So maybe 3 weeks total. I'd place myself in the beginners bracket.

Seriously, you need flow. All your tags are extremely messy and lacking composition. Also, make sure the tuts you´re following are of good quality- following bad tuts doesn´t help you much at all. Don´t just use grundge brushes to brush a BG, it looks bad and doesn´t appeal- follow good tuts and learn some smudging. Make sure you´re trying to have more than one color (black and white/ color + black and white don´t count-last one should def be avoided), bcause then you can start developing on your color schemes. Take a look at a color wheel or something, and also try to follow the rule of thirds- you´re placement of renders is weird atm.

Sorry folks, we don't allow topics about users (especially not to rank people), because people end up getting their feelings all hurt, and it's just way too hard to do without it getting messy (as you have seen in this topic). The only reason this topic lasted this long is because I didn't see it. Besides, you already have the Official Critique Topic for commenting on each others' banners, and I'd like you to keep it all in there please.
