@Habit: High Beginner. You have basic composition down. But you still need to learn how to create effective flow, blending and lighting. Those are the big three. My suggestion is to read lots of tuts.

And guys, cut down on the spam. Let's keep it professional.

High beginner.
Improvement needs to speed up. What got you high is the variety, which means you´ve been following many tuts. I say follow better tuts, bcause you´re not getting very great results atm. I´m wondering why the hell you have these weird cut off clipping masks on some of your sigs, because it just looks terrible to see cut off effects like that. Weird skin tone effect on the megaman one looks HORRIBLE, you shouldnt´ve included this tag at all. I say you take a look at very good tags, so you have an eye for what are good effects and what are bad effects. Using Sonic on half of your showcase tags also doesn´t help. Cut the brushing and random bgs, try to create flow, because currently your tags are extremely messy. Decent lighting would help as well.

For all of you who keep blabbering about how much time you've been playing with Photoshop/GIMP for, it really doesn't matter at all. Once you know how to use the program, there are two paths:

1. You have an eye for art, can recognize good from bad, and as a result will be able to make solid progress.

2. You don't have any of the above and continue to work without any sense of direction.


Finally, if you can't be mature and clearly many of you can't, then get out of this thread. I have no tolerance for it.

Beginner.

You definitely need to take a look at some more tutorials. If you are already following some tutorials, move up to some more advanced ones even if they appear to be difficult. These tags are seriously lacking in quality render choice, text, and overall effects.
