You’re saying this Fatman person some sort of guy who connects with insiders?Everyone's hoping it does, but according to @Fatmanonice it most definitely will. From what he's heard, Vol.2 is going to be "Sakurai going online shopping". To wit, the names he's heard are stuff like Geno, Dante, Crash, and even Master Chief.
Sakurai described the characters for Vol.2 as being "extravagant additions", though judging from the quote I think he's referring to them not being on-disk DLC.

They're extra picks beyond what they were planning for DLC so it only makes sense to go with a shotgun spread to make people happy. You'll likely end up not necessarily liking the entire selection of DLC, but it seems like they want to get "that one character you've always wanted" on there and hopefully you'll be happy with at least one of them.
People meme and joke about everything, especially things that are in the media. If you can't handle a meme, just ignore it and it'll die off when the topic dies off. Most memes stay in popularity for a week or two at best, but considering this is a whole pandemic affecting the world, it'll die off when the pandemic does too.

No Beandini not anymore Fatmanonice is a member here who mostly speculates and is our resident Geno leader.
He did have contact with people who knew stuff so yes he would know some of what’s going on.
You can trust what he says for sure though.
But remember most just speculation.

My current most wanted is Waluigi so hopefully, he will be that one character. Even so there should be more than one

Yeah it’s 50/50 but we’re all very high on his chances. Hoping for the best myself.
So will support him and hope he’s in!
But I think if you want answers Fatmanonice would be able to give you them better then anyone.
He should be back on eventually.

I mean, if those copyright takedowns were for naught and his costume missing this entire time was also nothing, I'll be severely pissed. They could have easily returned the costume with Hero's Mii DLC wave since they only had 4 instead of the usual 5 Mii costumes. If Geno was coming back as his Sm4sh costume, why not just throw it in that wave? Also Chocobo too for that matter, though it would make a lot of sense that because DQ is actually Enix (and not Square), that they would bring back Chocobo for Geno's inclusion since both FF and SMRPG are Square (not Enix)...

, in our PMs, we didn't even think about the fact that all of the 2nd Mii wave were Enix. Not a single Square thing in sight, not even for FP1. Yes they're now under one name, but in the same way Activision and Blizzard aren't remotely the same, despite now being named "Activision Blizzard", Square and Enix aren't really either. Really makes you wonder if Geno's costume not returning was just because he's Square and he's coming with a different Square rep in FP2, or he's coming as playable, eh?He, Shovel Knight, or Isaac I feel are the 3 strongest candidates for being promoted out of AT status. Reggie also had to personally stop asking people for Waluigi recommendations before the game launched when the Internet cried at the direct that showed him off as an Assist Trophy. Despite being an AT, I'd say he has a decent chance. A slim chance (way slimmer than Geno, actually), but still a chance. Just don't get super upset if it doesn't happen.
For the record, I don't *really* care if Waluigi gets in, but I do think putting him in as an AT was an injustice that should be fixed. Same with Isaac as I have little to no connection with Golden Sun, but I think Isaac fans deserve a bone thrown their way, and an AT isn't bone-y enough.

I uh, hope my post didn’t offend you, or anybody for that matter. I myself have asthma. A respiratory disease like Covid 19 and asthma do not mix well, so this is very much a serious issue to me.

On the one hand, it is obviously important to take serious situations seriously and I totally get where you’re coming from. On the other, for some of us humor is how we cope with this sort of thing. To repeat the mantra I was saying at my last job in the days leading up to us shutting down, which I spent surrounded by laughing smiling faces,

If that’s the case, then I think it may discount 2B since she’s not originally from Square nor Enix but Platinum games. Lara Croft wasn’t Square property to begin with. The only characters that fit are either Geno or Crono. I didn't notice that they were showing less about the consoles and more about the ones who showed up... Since I was at the con, I didn't even watch the presentations at all, so I just surprised myself to find whatever I could there, and seeing another Mario & Sonic Olympic Game was quite a surprise because I didn't think we'd be getting another one.
I see where you're coming from. Personally, I had a good time at the con itself. My only issue there was the scheduling and long lines, like I get it, we all want to play the demo, but some of the lines there were 2-4 hours long and we could only be there for a specific amount of hours. My last day I was only supposed to be there for only 4 or 5 hours, less than the first two days, and I ended up showing up late the last day and only played the Luigi's Mansion 3 demo since the LM3 line was a three hour wait, and then I went straight to the Microsoft Theater to end the final day.

The sad truth. Nintendo's radio silence but seemingly fine with sharing all this random crap and INDIES (which aren't even THEIRS) before their general direct is baffling. E3 is cancelled, which I'm happy about, but a part of me is still sad about it. Other stuff is being cancelled. There's not a lot to look forward to except AC and/or Doom (whichever is your cup(s) of tea) and even that's looking bleak amidst all this unfortunate news. It stinks.

I'm unsure why you would ask us as though we would know this before everyone else. The answer has been and will still be: wait and see. The only thing we could be undoubtedly sure of this whole time was that Dragon Quest content was coming at some point. "Extravaganza" fighters doesn't really mean anything concrete and is most likely just a kind of PR statement. But really I just think it's impossible to answer that question with anything but no because people are determined to always find a way to be miserable no matter how much pandering they get.
There are some insider murmurings and educated speculation we've heard over time that is very promising if true, but not everything we've heard has panned out and it's up to you what you chose to believe. Ultimately (pun intended) I chose not to believe rumors and leaks or pretty much anything vague said by people like Sakurai. And with Nintendo choosing fighters it's difficult to know what their thought process will be because they like to try to play mind games with us and as a result sometimes they get things nearly perfect and other times bungle things up in such a bizarre and almost cruel way that it is quite literally too unbearable to behold. Basically that's all we really have to go on in terms of how FP2 will look because Nintendo apparently is intent on not giving us any information whatsoever about it. Feel free to purchase it if you trust Sakurai...to make the most of Nintendo's picks. Can't really get much worse than Byleth though so I guess what do we really have to lose?

Despite all the rumblings that we're getting a Direct on the 26th; I truly feel it'll be postponed until further notice with how much is being pushed back and cancelled. Now even more so with the virus getting to Nintendo's staff

No but seriously, this is really bad.
I guess the one silver lining here is that fatalities from the Coronavirus are only at around 1-3%, and most of those are the elderly and the immuno compromised. Given how young these NOA guys and gals tend to be relatively speaking, they have a good chance of survival.

It's a corporate environment. NOA isn't exclusively spring chickens when it comes to age. I would imagine that they also have a lot of tenure. The kind of employees that were working and witnessed the launch of the Gamecube or even Pokemon's rise to pop culture domination in the 90s.
I have everyone affected in my prayers and I am wishing safe and speedy resolution for this virus. Please remember to wash your hands everyone! Hopefully everyone gets well soon so they can all witness the return of Geno (In some form)

My college extended spring break another week and will be switching to online once things resume which makes things a little easier at least. I get that, but SE is a weird beast, and I wouldn't be surprised if I saw something like this happening. Whoever the next SE rep is (Geno, obviously), I'm gonna pay close attention to the Mii costumes just to know if I was right or not.
Inb4 I'm the biggest **** ever for saying this, but while my heart goes out to the affected Nintendo employees, if this pushes the direct to April, I really don't know what I'm going to do. I'm already going nuts it's been this long and it wasn't this week.
I mean, some of us gotta get our chicken nuggies and pizza somehow, and whether that's going to a drive-thru or having delivery, there's still someone who made our food and/or handed it to us. Unless you stockpiled on frozen food way ahead of time or are making your own (from frozen items/non-perishables because otherwise you're going to the grocery store), you're gonna be at risk somehow. Hell I even went to a gaming party last week at my friend's with a bunch of super-irresponsible college kids.
I'm a total shut-in, but during this scare, I've gone to 2 restaurants and been to drive-thrus/had delivery a lot. My family and I are still totally fine (coronavirus-wise), but who knows how long that'll be :X

My family has been worried about it and my university classes are also going online. (Except for one but I'm not going to commute and be around a bunch of people for one class) I actually have been sick this past week but I'm pretty sure it is a standard cold since it has been progressing like a previous one and that one went away.

I disagree. I still think a certain bear, for example, would have been way worse received when there are way more popular Gen8 Pokemons(but maybe it has to do with my bias I admitt).
Agreed. Would it have been nice to have some form of positive news right now even if it so simple as a Nintendo direct? Sure, but safety first.
