jolly old england. hohoho.
Well I guess I now know the theme of the hidden world T.T

My favourite levels so far have been the ones that are blatantly not designed for more than one player in them (all the rolling pink block ones). I enjoy the constant bickering and backstabbing that inevitably takes place.

I kind of wish levels limited teams to dying a maximum of 5 times each in a run-through though. Two of us constantly have 20+ lives so even when we try to kill each other (i want to have the most lives, ****it!!), we tend to bumble our way through to the end.

♣ You mean Rainbow World? I always wonder why Rainbow Road was always a final stage on every Mario Kart. ;p ♥
That's easy, it's because the gold [trophy] is at the end of the Rainbow [Road race]. ^_^

Completed NSMBWII yesterday 100%. All i can say man it was a great game. Alot of carful thought has been put into each levels so that they can be played by both 1 player or more which i think was the best thing that was done in the game.

Love the super skills they are so good. The level that i kept dieing on while trying to get the star coins was the second last level on world 9 :p. But i've become pro at that level and can almost speed run it the way the super skills does it.

Amen :')

that was an amazing 200th comic! I kinda thought it would have been about Kirby.

But seriously, ever since I played Briad, I've couldn't bring myself to jump on a Goomba/koopa troopa/whatever for the longest time ever!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pcjbil1TM0o&feature=related#t=4m2s
That was horrible :'(
After that I couldn't "kill" anyone in Mario after that.
Not to mention the screams of those Bunnies and pinecone things!

I've had Super Smash Bros. for years. guess some places get early releases =P

I might not buy Super Mario Kart, since I already have so many games to buy =P
I'll just stick with Super Mario 64

I already had SMK, but not SSB64. (Rented it so much I could have just bought it with the rental money :p)

SSB64 was a very good game.
A friend has it, but we haven't played it for weeks now.

In my opinion, Super Mario 64 was the overall best game for the N64, Ocarina of Time and Smash Bros following close behind.

Speaking of which, has anyone done a no-kill run (barring bosses, obviously) of a Mario game, any one? Is it even possible?
I'm relatively sure that in a few games it isn't, because occasionally you need to kill enemies to make certain jumps or pass through certain areas.

Anyway, I just got NSMB Wii the other day, and it's fantastic. I never played the DS version, but it plays like an updated version of Super Mario World without the bouncing spin jump. And the level design is great. Progress, however, is slow, as I'm currently only playing when I have someone else to play with.

NSMBDS is a mix of mostly SMB3 with a bit of SMB, SMW, and SM64.

NSMBWii is a mix of SMW with a bit of SMB3, SMB2, and YI.

Hey guys, I have a question for you (which I know the answer for :p)

What is the ONLY song that originates from Super Mario RPG that has been officially remixed (whole or in part) in another Mario game? If so, where is it from?

I'll say if no one can figure it out ;)

It's actually quite clear (like it's not remixed to the point where you wouldn't be able to tell) if you can figure out which game it is. But it's not that game.

EDIT: (I'll just say what it is if no one can figure it out before 8 PM ET.)

EDIT: THE ANSWER

Bowser's Keep from Super Mario RPG is re-used in in Bowser's Magma Mountain from Mario Party

Well, I would never have guessed that, I never played that game =P

I seem to be really taking my sweet time finishing NSMBW, I really like slowing down sometimes.

I fighting one of my favorite bosses, Wendy O.

She is definatly in my top 10 list for favorite Koopa kids bosses <3

I had no idea you could slide over the water as penguin Mario :O

You know what!? STFU

But she is one of my favorites really <3
Anyway, I defeated her awhile ago, and I'm just about to face Iggy Koopa (I think)
Though I'll just probably face him tommorow.

Racoon Mario all the way, feels less like Mario just took the cloth he uses to clean pipes with and wore it. Cape Mario has better gameplay tho.

I like them both:

Cape
+Can stay airborne for eternity without the p-wing
+Can cause earthquakes
+Can reflect things (if only in SSB)
+Fashion
+Gives invincibilty when diving

Racoon
+Can change directions, and basically follow an airborne maze
+The tail
+The ears

But I like the cape more. :p

I agree, both were great but cape was a lot of fun to use and in the end is my personal favourite.

Bomb diving to create an earthquake was a ton of fun. Plus, watching mario run then soar with a cape and his arms spread wide was pretty amazing.

Racoon's can't fly.
But the animal its really based off of in Japan can glide.

I think you're thinking of the tanuki suit =P

If not what animal is it based off? I'm curious :)

Poor propeller getting no love :(
I never could control the cape, so the propeller would be my second favorite, then the cape, though I do enjoy making earthquakes =P

He's referring to a mythical Japanese creature that resembles a racoon.

The propeller suit's only pro over the racoon suit and leaf was the mid-air jump it gives the player, every other stat is outclassed.

Press back to glide, let go, and press it again repeatedly (about once a second) to keep in the air while using the cape.

Also the dive can kill ANYTHING including spinies, thwomps, boos, etc.

If you glide downwards with the cape, you'll get a mid-air jump with invincibilty if you make contact with something in . . . . mid-air.

..so yeah..
$50 USD >_> Wasn't that a given for a new first-party Wii game?

But wouldn't that mythacil creature be a tanuki? =P
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tanuki

Probably wrong since Tanukis can't fly, but they do look like racoons.

I really have trouble controling the cape for some reason though, I'll be sure to try that :p

I'm aware it can kill anything, I have tried it, though I mainly killed people because of failed attempts to actually glide xD

LOL, and yes it is based upon the Tanuki.

Tanuki's (the mythical kind) were supposed to be shapeshifters (hence the statue transformation with the Tanooki suit).

Hey, guys. Sorry to interrupt the current conversation, but I'm getting NSMBWii for Christmas and I wanna know - should I start off the game playing it on my own, or with somebody else? I'm assuming with somebody else, but I'm pretty notorious for wanting to get like 30 different opinions before I buy/try something, so I figured here was a good place to ask.

..so yeah..
♣ That would depend on where you buy it, it's a price of a normal Wii game at most areas that sell them, or you could by New Super Mario Bros Wii online for a diffrent price. ♥

♣ I started to play by myself. ;p ♥

♣ It's good to start with friends or family, but if your the type of gamer that want's 100 percent complete with lesser replay over the levels I'll play alone, but it's much funner to play with others, more fun than most co-op games out in stores. ♥
