1. Introduction

Thomas Tipman had started a video compendium in his guide "Path of the Gerudo King", but since he quit smash, the guide has not received an update in quite some time. I know that there is a great amount of Ganon vids out there, and you and I both know the value of studying gameplay vids.

UPDATE:
The Ganondorf Video Archive hits version 2.0 today with the addition of the Doubles section. Not only did I add that section (which essentially doubles the amount of videos in the archive), but I also revamped the layout, added more singles and combo videos, and organized the matches into sets where applicable. Hopefully the new layout will help keep the growing number of archived videos neatly organized and slightly less intimidating.

Some videos are sets from tournaments, some videos are friendlies from smashfests, and some doubles videos are duplicates due to having a Ganon on each team. But I can assure you that you can learn something from all of the videos here. As more tournaments are recorded, I appreciate it very much when you all post sets directly into this thread. It helps fill the archive with quality videos.

Singles videos are tiered by opposing character and then alphabetically. Doubles videos are tiered by partner character and then alphabetically. Combo videos are organized by featured player.

Usually what I do, what my plan was, was to just put one vid of each set up if the charcters stayed the same. that way people could find the rest of the set through youtube links or whatnot, and id save space.
but for your vids all of the links were sorta spread out all over that place or not even there, so that wont work... also it seems like you dont upload your sets in order one at a time?
whatever, ill just treat all of your vids as individual matches.

The Sheik one would be for the Sheik section obviously, but the Zelda/Sheik playlist would be for the Zelda section (he uses both Zelda and Sheik in those so I included them in both lists).

I can group some of my older matches together that are on the older archive like in the Peach section later on once you start to get the older version merged with the new updates. I'll put the best ones on it that are still good watches despite their age.

anyways, I think Im gonna keep Toms post how it is. partially because I can see a noticable improvement in everybodys skill, and partially because I wana respect what he started.
I only can play people with skill about once every 3weeks. so really watching vids is how I learn and get better. (even though i know that will only take me so far.)

I will still format mine similar to how Tom's is formated. only ill try to color code the pros with an intro or something.

also, are you going to pound3?

If I have some extra cash around then to afford the $65-70 entry along with the trip I'll try to drive down to it. I'll have a better idea near the end of January.

There was one match but he wasn't playing nearly as well with Fox in it imo as he normally does and when we weren't recording earlier that day. I'll try to get some good ones next time I'm over at his place or something, and perhaps manage to get some more nice techchase combos and chaingrabs in there when not getting ***** too badly =)

ya, I will start to add in some of your and Kage's individual matches, but as i dont know your style matches as well as i do the others, ill watch them all individually and put up the ones that seem to stand out, or maby even most all of them if I find that I have underestimated canada.

but right now im just keeping up with the updates for the pros I know, then once I get a workable format up, ill add in the suggestions.

now, its not it its final format. It took a fairly long time to do even though i copied some of Tom's code, but at least ive got something to work with now.

something else Im gonna add that I didnt mention in the first post, are some vids with the description "legendary" or "timeless".
vids that were in the first version, but were so good, that they withstand the test of time.
things like that Eddie VS Husband match(you can learn so much from watching it it feels like), Triforce of power, lethal dorf3 (the last Kill alone desirves continued immortality), and chaddd's one man crew battle (we seem to be setting a trend with those.)

it other words, if someone watches your vid under the "fox" section, what will they learn that they didnt get from all the other vids? and as we have a fair amount of vs falco, marth, CF, and samus vids, I wont be able to put those up.

TY and i understand what you are saying. I too look for new things and what to excell in when i watch the videos. hopefully i can be of "pro status". Eh idk what i can do about the people i play. I seem to play alot of high tiers so playing against anything else will be tricky to find.
