Well which forums would I use for CSS, TF2, or CoD4? I know that the shoyruken forums are the place to go for stuff like Street Fighter, CvS2, and Dustloop is for Guilty Gear, but I'm not sure about the FPS games.
No clue actually, since I don't play any FPS games myself; try asking around when you're online (ask about leagues/tournaments etc, someone out there should know).

Alternatively, you could just Google it, which isn't anywhere as reliable, but it's worth a shot if you really want to start playing competitively.

I could probably play Brawl competitively if I practice more

I might be able to play Halo (as crazy as that sounds) if I get better against the best person I know at the game

Basically, I have the potential, but I've been too busy to actually fallow through...that and the only person that I know that can actually play video game well, I am not able to talk to...we split ways sorta. ...Me making stupid mistakes in life and having to deal with the consequences.
Best way to get good quick is to force yourself to start playing at a higher level: watch matches of higher-level play, know the mechanics of the game like you'd know the back of your hand, and start entering tournaments or so.

But yeah, it's nice to expose yourself to a variety of playstyles rather than being stuck trying to always overcome one specific style of play.

Good idea. I guess I could try and find a clan and do some stuff in CAL to start...

Just Brawl right now. I have played FPS's in Clan ladders before. But the only game I go to in person tourneys for is Smash. I would play COD4 PC in person if there were any tourneys for it near me. I am a good COD4 player, but definitely not competition good. Id go for the fun of it.

Well aside from the Smash Bros. series, I'd have to say:

-Street Fighter
-Guilty Gear

other than those two, i'm really not into any other tourney scene.
