Gamecube controllers missing the white text?

So, I've been looking around ebay for new Gamecube controllers and it seems like there's bargains all over the place. Something's not right though and it took me awhile to realize exactly what it is - the pictures of controllers don't have the "Nintendo Gamecube" white text in the middle of them.

Here's the controller you are all familiar with:

Here's the picture I'm seeing on ebay:

Here's another one, on Amazon this time:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=470938631&pf_rd_i=507846

And it also seems like every seller is just using the same picture. Very few are actual photographs, but the ones that are clearly show the white text (they are used though). I'm not wasting my money getting a non-official controller, so does anybody know what's up with this? Has anyone here bought a Gamecube controller off of ebay?

It says that it's compatible with a GC, but it's not a GC controller manufactured by Nintendo. Third party controllers are always garbage. Don't buy it. Mine broke in a week.

It's like impossible to find a new first party controller at a gamestore anymore. You're probably right that yeah it's just a cheap piece of junk. It's just usually 3rd party controllers are obviously 3rd party (they are redesigned). Not only are these not obvious, they have no clear brand on them and are so commonplace on online shopping websites that it really is hard to tell.

I ended up buying some used controllers as well as originals (they still sell them in Qatar :/)

But the used one (lightly used, that is), is working perfectly fine. Check an EB games or Best Buy Blockbuster or something near you and see if they have some decent used ones.

Nintendo doesn't manufacture old consoles' controllers anymore. Anything you can find now is either used or left over stock.

I can't speak for myself, but I hear those Play Asia white controllers are great too.

♥ My post count is my age. Deal with it.
Third party controller no doubt.
I have a third party controller.

It has it's disadvantages, but what I like about mine is that it has TURBO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
To bad I can't turbo the control pad to taunt though...

Turbo rocks.

Nintendo lost a lawsuit (from a company that has never manufactured anything no less) that makes them unable to manufacture GameCube controllers anymore.
