GameClucks Monthly for SSBB and SSBM
1v1 and 2v2 will be offered for Brawl and 1v1 for Melee, unless we get enough people for 8 teams.

Entry Fee:
$10 per Person per Event
SB64 is $5 per Person
If you main Brawl, half off for Melee.
If I don't know you, half off for Melee.

Bring cubes, we have plenty of TVs

I wanna try to get Melee outdoing Brawl. If we can get large Melee numbers, Chris will see Melee as profitable and do more to cater to us in his large scale plans.

So come show up and support Melee in the grand scheme of the northwest :D
Enter Brawl too if you want.

Theres space for a few TVs other than Chris' 8 or whatever, so someone should bring a couple.

Mostly we need Wiis and Cubes though

We'll be using the pound4 ruleset.

Also I'd like to point out the completely pointless and uncalled for $5 venue fee at the last Oasis wasn't a turn off for them. How is $10 that actually goes the pot a turnoff?

Funny you'd mention that, 'cuz I yelled at a bunch of people and called them hypocrites after I heard about the Oasis tourney. Way ahead of you :P

That said, don't look at me. But Vish, for example, wasn't going to go to this until I talked him into going yesterday. He basically said he always feels like all the focus is on Brawl and that there are no Melee setups and that he has to pay $10 (or 20 for both events) when he could just have a lot more fun elsewhere. I told him to stop feeding the self-perpetuating problem and that we should at least show up and show support, and if it really ends up sucking/being too Brawl-infested I'd go smash with him somewhere else.


edit: in summary, I'm not saying that washington smashers are logical, I'm just the messenger.

in any case I'm trying to win the money at this one so I don't really care about the entry fee ^_^

@Vish-The point is to change all of those things you dont like about a tourney. Put in some work for the melee community and do some hyping. You are a good player and ppl like playing with you and you can convince ppl to go. Also, you said you and toph would go in the morning and possibly stay, so obviously you werent doing anything lol.

Hype up WA? Like 7 posts ago you werent even down to come to GC. Now that shane and I hyped up the tourney and ppl wanna come ur hella down. Why dont you just host a tourney at your house where your housemates dont want to host any more tourneys. Make sure you charge venue tho. mad hype son
