i'm 90% sure zhu will have school johns, and there is always dunskies/hugo to drive people
last time 6 people wanted to go to norcal and i said screw it, just don't take me, i'm scared something like this might happen again where like 7/8 people wanna go, but then no one is going to want to pay 25 for gas
and besides, i'm poor now and have to request like every sat off for the rest of my life
ps it's not this tourney vs nor cal cause it's nor cal no duh, it's more spending the money/going to nor cal or just missing it :/

the farthest a socal train goes up north is san luis obispo
after that you are going to have to find another way up there

yeah, it is. the farthest the metrolink would take him is glendale/simi valley.
the farthest the amtrak would take him san luis obispo. it would cost a lot more since he is going have to transfer once at LA Union Station.

norcal is about 5 hours from irvine. Well, it depends what part you're talkin about. If you're talkin about SF then that's about 40 min more. So i'd say it takes about 5.5 to 6 hour drive to the tourny.

for those of you who think this is dumb, color changes mindset, it changes playstyle, it adds in another element that the opponent has to think about cause they aren't comfortable with it, it's a GREAT rule

It sounds like a fun idea stab but on the real, red is my only tournament color and if i dont have it, i get this total sense of dissatisfaction and it ruins my mental in tournament, feel me? So imo, it should only be in affect if both players agree to it.

That's why I use two colors for my characters, in case of dittos and something like this.
