1. Ridley as a playable character.
2. Captain Olimar as a playable character.
3. Micaiah as a playable character, mostly just because I like mages.
4. Music like from Super Mario Galaxy.
5. Names to appear in online play, though that's been deconfirmed I think. So I guess that's just 4.

1. Isaac as a playable character. There isn't a better choice.
2. All characters returning. (I know Pichu and Dr. Mario are incredibly redundant, but there are people that use them, and really they wouldn't take up that much space would they?)
3. A Golden Sun stage and tons of music.
4. Toad being playable instead of whatever awful Mario character they're bringing in. (Geno is the only acceptable one.)
5. Better music. Most of it is just boring, or just... not good. Not appealing in anyway. There are a few, but really they aren't that great themselves. This is not what I expect since Melee had a wonderful soundtrack.

I have to add a sixth sorry.

6. Better stages. Like the music, they just really aren't cutting it with the stages shown so far. The majority of them are boring three platform (or less) stages that are floating in the middle of no where. Where's the creativity? Where are the awesome stages like Hyrule Temple?

Yes, I can tell right now I'm going to be disappointed with Brawl to some extent. Melee was so perfect, I guess it really can't be topped. Not with the way things are going right now.

1. Lucario and/or Lloyd Irving. (Especially Lloyd. All of his 3 game/cameo life has been on a Nintendo system.)

2. Non friend code online (Although that's not as much of a serious pain in my *** as other peoples'. I mean, for f***s sake, at least you get ANY f***ing (free) online. I'd guarantee thousands of topics going "LOLZ NO ONLINE = GHEY BRAWL SUXXZZ" without any online. Nevertheless, I'd think that if only three features (Name display, Party up, and Friend invites, and we don't really need that 2nd one, do we?) were added, people would stop *****ing about it.)

3. uh...I don't f***ing know...Geno? (Or Ridley, or Ashley, or Krystal, or even f***ing Ness. Just give me characters. And loads of them.)

4. Lord British confirmed (:D)

They have the stage editor down, now if we had a flexible character editor, we could have anyone we want in Brawl...
Of course, it'd have to be a little more advance than the Mii Channel to be of any use.

5 THINGS THAT WOULD MAKE BRAWL THE $HIT.

1. Have a roster that me and just about everybody could be happy with like Please the Geno fans and put him in along with, K. Rool, Ridley, Claus, Krystal, Olimar, Mewtwo, G & W, Ganondorf etc. You know solid characters like that would make it a very good roster and make Brawl one of the best games of all time.2.Very well detailed Stage builder. Any game that has this feature nowdays, I expect a lot out of it. I'm mean if it's deep enough a mode like this could last me for months. It will mos def make this game more replayable more than it already is.3.More orginal and bigger stages.(Don't get me wrong I like the stages we have now but we need Forest Maze, Gang Plank Galleon, A good Sonic stage, Luigi's Mansion, A better Metriod stage cuz I hate Norfair AND last but not least Mt. De De De.4. No clone characters! or a 2nd Mario(Paper Mario), Samus(Dark Samus), and last but not least another Link(WW Link). Those are just the worst ideas ever.5.Better online play like head set, friend list and not just stupid friend codes were you actually gotta know the person. Last but not least online ranking.
Alternate #5 for the none online players: A good amount of modes and a solid Subspace single player.

Big, spooky castle in eastern europe.
1: Secret techniques you can unlock and customize your favorite characters with.

2: A combo meter, ala Street Fighter.

3: Overdrives and super moves that activate with a gauge, also like street fighter.

4: Assist trophies that have different effects depending on the character that summons them (Goroh decides to attack Falcon, for starters. . .)

5: Larger movesets in general.

Things to make Brawl better-

1. Have at least 50 characters
2. Make the characters a lot harder to get
3. Make the Adventure and Classic mode harder.
4 Make the CPU's go to higher levels of difficulty(nine is way to easy)
5. Be able to talk to people while having smash battles over the internet. (via headset)

I know this game is gonna be big n all but I think 50, 60 characters is too much to ask seeing how the last game only had like 24 or 25 I think. But if you don't count clones that's even less than that. I think 36-40 is fair enough

I had no qualms up to this point, but now I think you need to stop playing the game for a while, then come back and try to look at it objectively.
Melee's soundtrack is ear-grating. Not all of what we heard of Brawl so far is awesome, but it already has a higher ratio of good songs to bad songs than Melee did, and besides that, they're probably gonna keep in most songs from Melee unchanged, as was hinted at in some old music update...

Gawd. Given today's update, I'm gonna have to be a little more specific on what I would like improved about online:

"Brawl Anyone" matches need to let you have more say over the rules. I guess it's nice having it be cooperative to pick the stage BUT it doesn't appear that you can even choose to play 1on1, you can't be sure any items you want off are off or that you want on are on, it's unclear whether you can play on anything but 2 minute timed. It's kinda ridiculous.

So basically, you can play 2 minute timed 4 player FFA with items on a semi-random stage, or a team game that's basically the same. I mean, that's fun and all, but it's pretty lame compared to how much control you normally have.

Or maybe you need to realize it's an opinion of mine?

In my opinion, (and yes I'm being serious) Melee had a wonderful soundtrack. The majority of the songs shown so far in Brawl just don't cut it. Seriously. I don't see how it has a higher ratio of good songs to bad songs than Melee. I don't remember anything too bad in Melee, and in Brawl NONE of the songs have impressed me that much. There are some that are catchy, but they just don't appeal to me.

Wait, you mean to tell me that my opinion is not the absolute truth?
Dammit! *snaps fingers*

Okay, carry on.

Actually, I wonder why I posted that in the first place. Uhm. Sorry about that. No hard feelings? *offers a cookie*

  • 1. Playable Retro Characters
Re-introducing retro characters into a banging story line such as SE would make the game
    THIS MUCH MORE AWESOME
    Lil' Mac Kirby Hat FTW!
[*]2. Cel Shaded, 2D and Original mode
Just like the color of paint on the walls (influence or) stimulate an individual, changing the graphics can be refreshing and give the fans what they want. Like Windwaker Link, Ganondorf, etc. . and Cel shaded Sonic (Sonic Shuffle FTW). A (hi-res) 2D mode would be EPIC.
    [*]3. Color Edit
An option that allows you to customize character costumes.
    [*]4. Mini games
More than 3 Stadium games. I don't know but maybe some character specific mini's like "Sonic Dash" or " Fox the Lode Runner" and maybe " Peach Glider" . A 4 player race to the finish would be epic. Racing through SE enviroments, with a toggle option for enemies and items would be even more Epic.
    [*]5. [Really can't think of a fifth addition, so. . .]
In-game/battle character interactions (besides pre-set "messages"), Movie playback and Team actions (Kirby swallows teammate, hurls him into an opponent, no damage done to teammate, but damages opponent).

I've been thinking about excatly the same thing. Even if Brawl has, let's say 30-35 characters, it could still be a (nearly) perfect game. I think 50 characters would be just stupid (I mean come on, would YOU come up with 50+ good characters for Brawl?).

I want Megaman and Bomberman, the stage builder to be more detailed than what we have seen, and maybe a more or less 50 character roster.

Poised for a Zerg Rush on your Base
1. 50+ characters, no clones
2. Satisfactory and entangling Subspace Emissary
3. Uploading your own music for My Music
4. Easy-to-use Stage Editor Interface
5. Krystal not playable (in fact, why don't you just have preorders come with a time machine that can turn back time and alter the timestream so that the Starfox games stayed good)

^ Aren't Classic/Adventure modes harder already? From the updates at the Dojo, I saw "Intense" as a difficulty level. I hope Sakurai wasn't exaggerating with the intense option.

Thats a pretty good list ya got dar. The different modes of visuals is very interesting and original (sounds hard though). Wouldn't mind mini games and a color edit mode either. :)

Speaking of SSE and people who don't want to unlock most of the characters using it - weren't like half of the characters in Melee unlockable through adventure/classic 1-P mode? And all of them were potentially unlockable through VS mode.

But at any rate, since I would prefer for ALL characters to be included in the SSE, I'd prefer either all of them to be unlockable that way, or for using a character in SSE to not necessarily unlock a character for VS/Classic/etc. I was thinking this because if Jigglypuff is unlockable by playing through Classic once, won't that mean she can't be in SSE?

Or can you choose to use the extra unlocked characters in SSE at some point? Perhaps if you play through it a second time...

But it'll still be great anyway.
