Marth and Roy are more popular in western countries than Ike and Lyn, unfortunately. I can see Ike coming in (as a matter of fact, I'm 90% sure Ike will make it), but not Lyn. Sure she's a bit popular in America and Europe, but not nearly as popular as other characters.outrunrazgriz said:I think Marth and Roy should be replaced as the games they came from are 'Japan only' games. (Lucky B*******!!!) Maybe Ike with Marth's moveset and Lyn with the Mani Katti and a bow.
Also, isn't the FE stage from FE1-3? That would mean Marth is still in SSB. (And in response to general speculation about the stage: if it was Daein, it would have snow, otherwise, it'd be too different from Daein FE9 fans are used to)
Ephraim seems even more unlikely to me, but I'd love to see him in Brawl. Same thing with Hector. AND the Black Knight as well. If he makes it a character, he should be fast and strong, but would walk/run slowly and have bad jumping abilities. Why? Because he doesn't want to be bothered.outrunrazgriz said:If there is room then add Ephraim. Not Hector as (for me) he was similar to bandits. Strong but stupid and we all know where the bandits ended up! Black Knight would be cool but... He is FAR too solw and just trying to jump would break his back and if he actually managed to get airbourne, he'd break his legs upon landing.
outrunrazgriz said:Nasir and Ena would be stupidly large and obviously a problem when coming to smaller platforms... ouch! Cavaliers and Paladins?!? Have you even thought about that!!! The attacks would be good but just think about jumping and rolling and hanging off the edge! Pegasus could fly and trying to kick a horse-on-wings off the stage would become a Major problem. Wyvers are so much cooler. (Not the ones off PoR as the riders ride on their necks... that has to be some sort of joke.) But they would have the same problems as Pegasus.
I agree with everything here, except the Nasir/Ena thing. The reason's way too obvious, and has been talked about every time someone suggests Ridley.
outrunrazgriz said:Magic users are an option but if it is ANYTHING like Zelda then that would suck... They should specialise in long distance attacks and need to stay away from combat as melee moves would be weak. A system like that could work well. Assassins are a good idea but the dagger(s) would mean a poor attack range and assassins sneaking about and teleporting (thingy. I don't know WHAT to call it) would be hard for anyone to follow.
It would be hard to make FE magic users remotely similar to Zelda. There are no spells in FE like hers. Magic users would be nice. But that assassin reasoning doesn't seem very good, in my opinion. Daggers don't have enough range? Heck, in SSB, most characters are unarmed and none of them have range problems. Weapons =/= range, because the programers can do the attacks anyway they like, even make a point blank attack with one of those big-*** swords, if they want to.
