Okay. Here's my situation.

I want to help the guys in my playgroup try out Brawl+ (I personally do not have a Wii). However, there are 4 or 5 of us. 3 Have Wiis (and SSBB) and only one has an SD card and a computer that can read SD cards.

So the issue is this. I need a setup in the fewest steps possible. How many times will the SD have to travel between the computer and the wii at the very least, and how can I set it up?

turn around....
So Here's the thing, it's not allowed via SWF rules for us to tell you exactly how to get everything started, that includes how to get what you need to even run Gecko and what not.

I can tell you that you can have 1 out of a possible 2 set of instructions depending on which Wii menu your buds have, if it's 3.4 or lower, you just need homebrew and Gecko OS, then download the Brawl+ codeset and the other accessories needed. Now, how to acquire Homebrew is the illegal part of the discussion.

If they have 4.0, then you/they're half screwed, there is a way to boot Gecko via SD card, but the there have been problems with that method, either way, steps on getting these are better done outside of SWF jurisdiction, preferably, the IRC chat, which can be found in the code agenda.

The SD only needs to be in the computer once to set up, and back in whenever you want to update our codes. It will need to be in whatever Wii you're playing on, though.
