Discoveries

Bair Combo
- Bair>Dash Grab
- Bair> Turn Around Grab
If you don't know as soon as you hit the ground you are able to dash. When you execute bair and hit your opponet dash grab as soon as you get on the ground. Depending on the percentage and character you are either suppose to turn around and grab or dash grab. It usually works around 22% or less, on heavier characters it will work above 20%. This is something to keep in mind at the beggining of every stock. This is also something to keep in mind when playing against people you can chaingrab.​

Reversed Sliding Jab or Grab out of Mock Waveland
- Mock Waveland> Turn Around Jab
- Mock Waveland> Turn around Grab
It only slides/ works if you time it correctly. Close to the end of the waveland you can quickly turn around and either jab or grab while still keeping momentum. It isn't as useful as it sounds, it actually pretty much useless.​

Possible Things You May Not Know

- After a short hop aerial you can NOT pull out a knee due to the knee's start up lag.

- Falcon does NOT have a gatling.

- Falcon can EDGEGRAB(actually grabbing your opponet off the ledge), only known character that Falcon can edgegrab is Charizard.

- Sliding pivot grab and standing pivot grab both have different uses
• Sliding Pivot Grab
His sliding pivot grab slides very far. He slides from beginning to the end. If someone is in the air you can space/time your self to grab them. Its safe if you miss becasue you will keep your momentum/ continue to slide.​
• Stading Pivot Grab
The stading pivot grab can be used after you force your opponet to do a certain move. Forcing an airdodge or a certain move like Pit's Shield DownB thing followed up by a standing pivot grab is an effective/ good way to use the standing pivot grab.​



Knee Tips
- Increasing Dair>Knee Percentage
While using a full hop dair while rising. It works great on big characters. There is only a slim chance that a small character will get hit by this. This is fairly safe. If someone jumps into it they will be either launched or spiked downwards. It's just something to keep in mind if you want to pull off a knee combo.

-Ways to lead into the knee
•After using dthrow follow up with knee
•After using dash attack follow up with knee
•At a certain percentage fthrow may throw you onto a platform. This gives you a good opportunity to knee them even if they roll.​

Falcon Dive Tips
- Falcon Dive out of shield is very slow compared to a grab so its only useful against a move with alot of ending lag.

-Gaining Extra Distance For Falcon Dive
•Dashing does not help the Falcon Dive gain extra distance.
• Reversing Falcon Dive teleports a bit further. Before the jump, Falcon slides foward a bit then jumps.

* dosent help me learn anything new about the punch, its a good video for players that dont know how to activate its greatness

EDIT: On that edgegrab thingy. Just to clear this up, that means that when Zard is ledgehanging, and Falcon is on the stage above him, he can hit Z (or other "grab" button(s)) to grab Zard up off the edge. Is that right?

EDIT2: About the Knee, is runoff Knee common enough knowledge to leave it out of this? Cuz it is useful. Also, runoff bair for stagespike. I like runoff stuff lol.

Don't let TKONTK see that. lol. The main reason threads like his guide were unstickied was cuz of the index. If we start putting up stickied threads in spite of the index, I'm pretty sure he'd catch on and point it out.

That said, as this is a (somewhat) community effort, stickying it is justified.

yup, there could be other characters that he could grab but i doubt it. charizards head sticks way above the stage so falcon able to grab him.

I think I put it down somewhere.

I won't bother trying to pull it outta my head right now, because I'll probably get the order wrong again lol.

I thought standing/sliding pivotgrab depended on if you held the direction or not. Example: If I'm running to the right, hit left+Z, and then let the stick back to neutral, I'd stand. If I run right, hit left+Z, and then hold left, I slide to the right.

Unless I'm wrong.

Whether or not those are common enough knowledge, they'll be in my gimping thread when I've figured out a good way to draw the hitboxes (I'm mostly stuck with Uair since his legs sweep around him as he moves).

For sliding and standing pivot grabs, I think sliding is you press back right before hitting grab, and standing is you press grab right before hitting back..

method 1-hold down on the control stick, press X, slide you finger down to A.

method 2-tap up on the control stick, and down on the C stick.

method 2 is easier for people who like tap jump, i use method 1 though

He didn't say specifically for DAir.

Tap jump sucks, use method 1.

Just a random note on the drop through platform knees. If you hold up when you knee or somewhere right before it it makes it easier to hit instead of having it cancel like it normally would.

I want to add something (even though probably useless) about Falcon Dive... it seem almost if not completely impossible to 'hit' Ivysaur with Falcon Dive at ground level, Squirtle is almost very hard to grab with dive, even though it seem the very tip of the teleporting hitbox sometime grab him. Small characters in general seem to have more chances to be grabbed with the teleport part of up B rather than the starting part.

But that Ivysaur/Squirtle thing is just weird, they never seemed that small to me yet they are nearly impossible to grab with up P. I think I NEVER managed to land it on Ivysaur in stand/walk in training.

Yeah it's impossible to hit Ivysaur in standing animation if you're on the same level. I assume during certain ground moves like UTilt Ivysaur is high enough to hit though. I recall something funny on a different character but couldn't remember who. For Squirtle was it you have to be really really close for it to land?

From what I experimented you can't land it on Squirtle with the first part of the moves, the sliding part grab him SOMETIME but I don't know when or why exactly. Squirle's case is weird since he apear taller than MetaKnight and Kirby but he is really hard to Falcon Dive for some reason. if someone else wanna do some testing it's still unclear to me.

For now if I had to make a summary I'd say Squirtle can't be hit by the first part of FDive but can be grabbed by the last frames of the sliding part (for some reason it seem the latter, the more success rate it get)
