Evolving SSB Roster game: The Squeakquel (Round 5: Brawl newcomers 2)

[Perkilator]

Based on Pupp135 old thread of the same name, but with a bit of a difference. In this game, players will create rosters for each Smash game based on certain prompts. At the end of each round, players will vote for their top 3 submissions (with their own below 1st place) and gain a point if their roster wins. Players can share a roster, and shared rosters winning means both players can get a point if the submission wins. Just to be clear, whichever game we're on, we're not going to submit a character whose game came out after the game we're doing (i.e. for Smash 64, no characters whose games came out after 1999).

Naturally, we're going to start this game off with Smash 64, original 8 and all.

  • The Mario Bros. Not much else to this one.
• Donkey Kong: King Dedede
  • I know Dedede probably makes more sense with Kirby while DK should have K. Rool, but I feel like the big ape and the penguin king have more in common; They started off as pure enemies to their respective heroes, but now have a friendly rivalry with them (and still serve antagonistic roles from time to time such as Mario vs Donkey Kong). Plus, five Mario reps is enough for Smash 64, so we're gonna throw Kirby a bone.
  • also something i realized after making this post dedede wields hammers which were the big power-up in the original donkey kong so that's fun too
