Evolution (EVO) 2k7 SSBM Qualifier in Austin, TX March 10-11

These EVO dudes sure as hell dont know how to plan a tournament it seems...

Luckily, I signed up, but did not print out my sheet since I dont have a printer... thank god i bookmarked the **** thing. I should get around to finding a printer.

I'd have to disagree since they've been doing these tournaments for years now so im pretty sure they've got everything down with minimal errors.

Right before you start registering it says:

"If you have questions about an existing registration or the registration process, feel free to e-mail the registration administrator, who will get back to you as soon as possible."

So I'm pretty sure you aren't SOL if you haven't printed the registration unless they decide NOT to reply back. Hope you are able to go ARC.

It's their first time for Smash tournaments so we dont know how good or bad they are. The only thing that I see that people are not liking it is due to the fact that it's single elimination and no 2v2. however, having alot of participants and hosting 5 games a day from 12-530, something had to be sacrificed.

Ah well, if I didn't live in Austin, I probably wouldn't go either. I just hope Out of City people get here safe and enjoy the tournament.

The Mr.C-reqy Parallel Battle Theory still stands.

I THINK there are pools where top 2 advance then a 32 man bracket...not sure though..and yeah I'm scared of Marth's lol and ARC is good in Fox dittos so I really don't want him first round XD >_>.

Well I read somewhere on the Evo page that they will have pools and the pools will be in a bracket and then the people who get out of that go into another bracket that is 1v1 >_>..I don't know if its true for Evo south though.

Sunday should be the Smash.

The times and location are seriously bugging me though, I don't know where in the Convention center they're going to have this (because the convention center will be crawling with SXSW crap). 12:30 to 5 is what I heard for GG:S, no clue about Smash.

And yeah this is in an arcade >_>so like JF said just ask around for it...and its probably better to ask people working in stores around there rather then the craploads of people there for SXSW...>_>.

DoH and Wobbles, i think i can house you guys. ill run it over with my roommate, but just to let you know, we already have like 9 people staying with us.....so if you dont mind that, and if its cool with my roommate, then its all good. also, our apartment is about 1000 sq ft, which is rather larger, so we do have enough room....just saying

Open registrations for tournaments that arent full will be from 12:00pm to 12:30pm. NO EXCEPTIONS AFTER 12:30pm on the 10th.

Remember the time change is Saturday Night, so dont forget to adjust your clocks for sundays tournaments.

you lose an hour. At 2 AM Sunday morning, the clocks were moved forward one hour. This means that at 2 AM it became 3 AM. It sucks hardcore ballsacs because I have work at 745 and with DoH, Wobbles, Dr Drew the Dragon, and cHaNg-sTa all over here, we stayed up for a while, even after Drew and Chang left.......yeah no sleep.
