Yeah, aside from the hurricanes that usually happens each year in florida, I have been about 5 streets away from a tornado in central america... yeah I nearly crapped my pants, and me and my grandmother had run for the bathroom... and yesterday, while waiting in the parking lot of hooters, a sudden violent storm came, winds so strong the car was shaking a bit, and suddenly you see a great green flash and a BLOOM that sounded like one of those 80s cheapo ufo sound effects. Me and my dad were like HOLY CRAP!!!111!!1!!!!11!! I nearly crapped myself... very scary and an ambulance came and all, thank god that the building it hit had a lightning rod...

Snowstorms occur whenever in Massachusetts, so technically I've been in one.

I've also been in strong typhoons when I went to Hong Kong. I forget what T is was, I think maybe T3, but the winds were fricking horrifying.

I was in Manila last year in September when it was hit with Tropical Storm Ondoy -

17.9 inches of rain fell in a span of 24 hours, the most in 48 years or something like that. Lots and lots of people died and many people we knew lost everything.

I was extremely fortunate enough to be in an area where the flooding did not get excessively bad, our village was knee deep at most and we lived on the third floor of an apartment complex.

Most places though were flooded 4-6 feet on average, with one of the worse places hit being submerged 10 feet. :/

Was pretty horrific. Especially since the week after there were constant reports of even a worse storm hitting. :c

Oh, I remember hearing a lot about that storm in Manila through TFC a lot. My parents told me to pray for my relatives there.

What was odd though, I was watching the movie Day After Tomorrow this morning. Weird coincidence.

I've been through plenty of minor earthquakes while living in southern California, although when I was in elementary school a 7.0 magnitude quake hit probably 30 miles away and that was pretty powerful. I remember watching the news that morning and seeing a train had been derailed because of it, among many other damages. Most of the buildings in California are built to resist earthquakes, so thankfully many people weren't hurt as compared to other large earthquakes.

Despite living in Oklahoma (Tornado Alley) for all of my life, the worst natural disaster I've been through was an ice storm.

That I'm happy for. lol

Hurricanes Ike, Frances and Ivan within like 3 weeks of each other.

oh yeah, and Hurricane Floyd but I was super young. It tore down the end of the local pier restaraunt in Daytona, where I live.

I heard of hurricane Ike

Apparently Ike fights for his hurricane friends does he?

Btw, why do DOES Ike fight for his friends. Where did the phrase originate?

I've been through countless hurricanes but the worst was Charley. Category 4 that was supposed to cut across Sarasota but wipped upwards and hit Winter Park pretty hard.

I stepped in a sinkhole and my shoe fell off one time too. **** got serious.

I think I was born (I think, so correct me, btw birth year is 1995) when Hurricane Andrew struck Florida. I don't think there was any major damage by where I lived though.

I was born in, named the same as, and have an unusual relation to hurricanes.

Also, I've experienced many an epic blizzard.

The ice storm of 2007 where I live knocked out power for two to three weeks for some.

I was incredibly lucky because my power came back on a mere two days after going out.
