Warren Spector's Junction Point Studios is working on a game called "Epic Mickey" for the Wii, not a lot is revealed about this, but it seems to be a dark version of Disney.

I think they would be extremly small... or there is a gaint paint thinner bottle.

Hopefully this game is as good as it's concept art.

EDIT: Actually, I think it would be for the best to go on this site it's not all Epic Mickey concept art, but that is where you can find a lot of it. I think it's Epic Mickey and The Ant Bully...and some other stuff.

Normally, we wouldn't pick at the edges of such a translucent title, but this one's super-interesting, so we're picking: CVG say they have some details on Warren Spector's Disney game.

According to their sources, the game is indeed a Wii exclusive, and you will "paint your way through levels using the Wii Remote", doing things like drawing and erasing "whole parts of levels".

It'll be based around a story where Disney's lesser, forgotten characters rise up against Mickey, which would explain the emphasis on hot military action seen in the game's concept art.

Bear in mind we've yet to receive any kind of word on this game from Disney, so you may want to take it with a pinch of salt. Well, this info, at any rate; we're pretty sure the art is for real.

I'm surprised Disney would allow this. I mean they were very strict with what was acceptable when Square-Enix used thier charcters.

I, however, like the look of this game. Looks eerie and IMO it does look epic.

I guess this does look interesting, but I'm doubting anything that good will come from it, seeing as the only good Mickey Mouse game was the one that starts at Steamboat Willie, and ends at Prince and the Pauper. Eithe Castle or World/Land of Illusion.

So that's what was weird in that picture.. It's a bottle of paint thinner, not some propaganda poster trying to make people "paint thinner" (with the little black-and-white guys trying to take it down)

Yea I love the whole post apocalyptic look the game has.
It's kind of cool to see Disney charcters in an enviroment that isn't all cheery and bright. At the same time though, it's kinda creepy.

I agree, mainly with the part of hoping for PS3/360 release. Though I hate it when people are like this, the Wii just will not be able to live up to the concept art. Flat out, the reason why this game is now being discussed quite a bit is the amazing concept art... art that I feel the Wii just not be able to do justice.

Of course, if the game doesn't end up with a T rating (not even going to bother mentioning M, because that will not be happening with disney), my expectations will drop significantly. I also hate being like this, but there is no way that the game will be half as cool as it could with anything less that a T rating.

Personally, I'm much more concerned that it's a quirky niche looking game that will never receive mainstream approval due to it's lack of universal appeal. Like Madworld.

And any interest I had in this game is now gone. Until I find out that I'm doing more than painting, I really do not care about this game. Of course, if I find out it's going to be like Okami...

Why does the core like Okami so much?

It bombed at retail, had subpar combat motion controls on the wii, and wasn't very good at staying consistently interesting to the end. It was also fairly niche, relying on tons of Japanese folklore that fails to make an impression on any non-japanese audience. Any game like Okami would fail to gain mainstream approval.
