Is that all you got out of the post?

(I'm not sure, but it sounds like you might be saying "hyrule doesn't boost pikachu [in the tier]" when I was talking about a boost as in an overall advantage in some match-ups).

Serious question: What do people mean by a "balanced" stage?
"Balanced" is pretty ambiguous but it probably has something to do with character match-ups. That's a pretty iffy way of talking about stages since match-ups can vary based on whatever techniques discovered or used as well as the competence of the player using the character.

I think "Neutral" would be a more standardized way of talking about stages, as it represents the properties of the stages themselves. "Neutral" referring to not interfering with the player-vs-player interaction in a match. (i.e Final Destination is 'neutral' while Dreamland is 'more neutral' than Peach's Castle).

I think Timmy, there is a lot wrong in that post. We weren't even really pressed for time at APEX, the people that seem to think it was an issue weren't even there. The only stress about time was coming from Alex(TO) because melee and brawl were taking forever and he wanted TV's and players to consider those games as first priority.

:phone:

Other than Sensei vs Kefit, which was draining on them both and definitely long, I don't remember any
other matches that were that campy that meritted a gamechanging rule discussion.

Falcon still won't be the best or a broken character

If you're annoyed by him, too bad. We don't base rulesets on how "cheap" certain tactics or characters are.

You probably already knew that, but I thought I'd clarify.

Yeah I was just kidding around. I haven't taken this thread seriously yet you see. I think the previous Hyrule debate wore me out.

I did lol at the irony of the second paragraph though :troll::troll::troll:

Sitll dont think we will ever see timers or even baning Hyrule but we may see Hyrule has a counter pick only someday.

If camping's bad enough that we can't stomach it twice a set, I don't see why we'd be able to stomach it once a set.

Yeah I've pretty much given up with all the people who are like "lol Hyrule counterpick" with no reasoning, since that seems to be a common trend

I've already explained what the problem with that stance is but nobody listened

I've already explained why camping/stalling is something we should try to work to reduce or alleviate, from a competitive standpoint.

People should also watch me vs. Jaime, which definitely got extremely campy in the last 2 games (as well as Isai vs. Peru matches).

Hyrule as counterpick only seems kind of silly to me, since anyone who doesn't like Hyrule can just strike it for the first match. I support the banning of Hyrule for all the various reasons brought up repeatedly, and I think that would also make the time limit unnecessary. All of us love Hyrule as a fun stage but I think the healthiest thing for the competitive scene is to finally get rid of it, at least for singles.
