If it's really bad then try having someone else host your game for you two.

Sometimes it makes the game playable, even if it is still a bit laggy

I hate that I sit here stressing trying to get my match going with my opponent. He or she could probably care less, as they have shown. And in the end, I'll probably just lose anyways.

Lol, don't worry about it Erik

You apparently said this is only your first online tourney when you first posted on this thread, and its only my second. We shouldn't expect to do great, but we should expect to learn from our more experienced opponents.
In other words, I know what you mean about that last part.

About your opponent though, you should pm them if you haven't already and at least specify availability. If they do care they should respond - but I'm pretty sure you already knew all this.
