Does Fox have any inherent weakness? (not a joke topic)

But he's so dang fast, he can close in on somebody in no time, so how detrimental IS his lack of range, then?

Fox's speed alone isn't going to win you games. I've lost plenty of games by just dash-dancing and trying to pull some waveshine combos here and there. There is a lot more to it than that. Its all about the mindgames, and its not something that comes with any character, but with the player.

I suppose by sucks you mean COMPLETELY BLOODY PWNS

Lillight3, trolling here is not advised, It is illegal to say any other down b is better than foxes on these boards. go to the roy boards, they welcome it.

A down b that turns you into a **** isn't cool.
Roys down b counters fox's down b when used correctly.

...Therefore, Roy counters Fox.
ok, roy doesn't counter fox because he can counter his "shine"(which he can do rarely)...its because of dtilts>fsmash...ooo a good and quick 30 damage...and chaingrabing>fsmash/dsmash...and his b attack is a great edge guard.

Failure. You are edgeguarded relatively easily. Not fox. He's got tons of recovery options.
3GOD is correct. The characters who give Fox the most trouble, like Marth, can edgeguard him very easily from low damage.

Fox biggest weakness is that to play him well you need to both have quick fingers and be able to think just as quick. If you aren't fast enough, some things can't be done (extreme case-wave shining, nit-picky case- double shining to get someone who knows to shield the first shine), and if you can't "control the speed" you run into the problem of doing things that are quick, but pointless.

His recovery isn't that good--it has distance and speed, but really easy to abuse by many people (the list has been said already--I'd just like to add shiek, peach, and ness to it) It isn't bad, but that isn't the reason he's top tier.

Peach owns Jihnsius on most stages.
Fixed it. Fox has the advantage over peach. waveshine>usmash kills after 75% on most stages, and the uthrow>uair wrecks her. Not to mention on larger stages, fox can run away lasering for super effectiveness (which is why DL64 is a good fox stage in the matchup). On smaller stages, go for more low-mid % uthrow>uairs. And drillshines>usmash is amazing against peach. Don't bother waveshining her off the stage. When you get to the end, usmash. It's better almost all of the time.
