Does anyone use Sheik's Chain?

Does anyone?

I've looked up so many videos to see if anyone even uses it, but nobody does. Is it really that bad? I used it and it worked fine for me...

But I suppose it depends on the timing and what the opponent is doing, huh?

But, do you use it... at all?

It's a nice edgeguard, especially against space animals (Falco/Fox). Don't use it against Marth though.

usually it's not worth the effort, even to edgeguard fox/falco. there's much better ways to do it, such as using needles or jump out after them at low %s. the ending lag from withdrawing the chain is ridiculous.

Well, glad I got some responses.

Why not use it against Marth? I'd love to test that but my Gamecube was destroyed by a flood. >.<

The needles do work very effectively, I've used them for edge guarding a lot.

But I think I like the chain better, because it's something different. =P

Anyone else use it?

It's inferior to Sheik's other edgeguarding options. But I do use it against noobs who can't DI as a sandbag move. ;p

If items are turned on i often use the chain to blow the items (barrels, party balls, bombs) up when opposing players are near.
Thats about it

The occasional edge guard, or when I screw up my up-b.

Neither option is recommended, just don't use it.

not many good players use it, but if u wanna get nailed in the face, it works pretty good...

lol, you have so much better options to edge gaurd or do...ANYTHING in any situation, somthing always will be better then chain, it is almost good for nothing, unless you are DSF...

Well, I mainly just use the chain for when people are under me. It knocks them down out of bounds, killing them. Otherwise, I only use it for Team Battle Traps.

Yeah, I know about his other edgeguarding techniques, but really, the only thing that works for me is the needles. But I prefer the chain. :p

When I first read this topic I thought you meant the chaingrab, and was wondering why people don't chaingrab marth >__<

Now I realize they mean the joke of a move, like shiek's down B; just don't use it, ever.

The only time i ever use the chain with is on pokemon stadium during the rock transformation if they are camping in the hole next to the mountain you can chain through the platforms.

I just start swinging it around like a lasso after killing someone, kind of like another taunt XD. other than that I don't use the chain =/

I only use the chain for edge guarding noob kids. its funny when they try to jump back on the stage and get caught in it. then they dont know what to do besides keep trying to jump and it gets their damage pretty high until i let them come up and shove a f air in their face. haha. but it only works well against people who dont DI well. Other wise i would advise not to use the chain at all basically.

I've seen Azen (I believe it was him, but I'm really not sure) use it once as a mindgame on FoD against Ken. Ken tried to FSmash Sheik, who rolled behind and grabbed him. I'll try to find the video I'm talking about.
