Yeah I was exaggerating on the hypernova term, just for effect...:D
Yes I have also heard pf the asteroids theory, also the super volcanic theory, though I suppose we present a greater threat to each other.

As in global warming, then yep we sure do, someone needs to tell the idiots cutting down the rain forests for ranching to stop. But the ranches say they are doing brazil a favor, favor my foot, because of china and people cutting down the amazon for $$ we all suffer.

It is true about the deforestation crisis. Recently the UN has certified the creation of some sort of forest credit system similar to the carbon credit, but I think it does little to curve those that seek money from lumber and farmland. However these corporate entities do much more damage than the peasant farmers that clear land in an attempt to survive due to extreme poverty.

I don't think enyone will even know, the sun isn't going to turn into a red gaint, but that was the last time I checked a book. The human race could end in 2036 but there's only like a .022
chance that it will. If it does it will all end when an astroid hits earth, but that probably won't happen... I think:chuckle: And the sun isn't going to go hypernova it's too small!
If it isn't going to turn into a red giant, what will it turn into?

Who knows, we could make it if we actually try and be smart about things on an occasion

Very true but, we wont survive anyway. Like 90 percent of all life on earth is already extinct and 7% of that 10% is endangered. So I highly doubt we will live to the end of the universe.

come on sucker lick my battery
so to many people will say that we will all die from global changes and i say bull to that. we are a far to resilient of a race to die because it gets a little nippy. we will adapt we will change. for those who dont they will die. People have lived through huge tramatic climate shifts before we will do it again.

i say an asteroid will get us. :)

I really don't think it matters what kind of creature we are, we will eventually die off.

Remember the dinosaurs? They dominated the earth for over 160 million years, and they still perished.

In comparison, the Homo genus has only been around for 2.5 million years, and that doesn't even include us, Homo Sapiens, who originated around 250,000 years ago. Unless we find some way to get off earth in time, we will either die of our own causes or of something else.

If we do manage to get off earth, our race could survive for a while after that, in which seeing the end of our solar system could be possible, but it's hard to see how we could keep going much longer after that. One race just can't last that long.

Why does it matter when the Homo Sapiens Sapiens race will die out anyways? (I expect a 95% chance that it will.)

...Anyways, good topic...

Waiting for you to slip up.
All a matter of belief. Show me that God is real and I'll say, "You're right, I'm wrong. Sorry."

I really don't believe that there is a HIGHER deity that controls our lives and destiny, because then that just ruins the whole purpose of living.

Why choose what you do if you believe a greater power has complete control over it?
