Hi.

Gaming instict is a thing best to be described like an instict that you use when playing games, like a 6th sense, but in video-games. That could be stuff like always going the longest way, or always going one way instead of another or you always talk to everyone(NPCs).

For example my gaming instinct always tells me to go to right, like if you are in a phantom dungeon...and I'm following it since I was 10.

What's yours?

Yeah, you have the same gaming instinct as me. Whenever I am given 2 paths to choose, I always pick the right one because I've always believed "right is always right!".

Hmm... My gaming instinct tells me that when there are 2 doors, always go through the one that was more difficult to get to. Chances are there's good stuffs on the other side.

cool lol. I don't go on right because I think Right is Right. I always go right so it kinda got under my skin.

There is usually a good reward at the end of a dead end.

See, that wasn't such a rewarding item was it? Items easy to get usually aren't very good.

It's not really instinct, you can just pick up on the hidden yet obvious clues better than others. Like when I played Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, I noticed that those who look evil usually are and those that don't will join my party.

I consider my gaming instinct to be the ability to pick up a game and play it very well in about 10 minutes. That's kind of how I felt when I was racking up 50+ combos early on in The World Ends With You.

Also, everyone should talk to NPCs. If you don't, then you aren't getting the full experience of the game.

I always talk to every NPC in an RPG, and always ask as many questions as I can.

Besides that, I cant think of anything else.

Mine is mostly for finding weaknesses in bosses and enemies. When I'm fighting a boss and have no idea what it's weak point is I stop and think about what it could be. It works most of the time.

The only instinct is when I know something is gonna happen. I have a feeling that a boss or mob of enemies might appear in the next room and I'm right sometimes. Besides that, I don't have anything else.

I don't know if I have any habits but when playing melee I can just feel when an item is going to explode but I go ahead and hit it anyways

My instinct is to keep my HP as high as possible at all times. Honestly, this is why I hate FPS', and even though it's my favorite game of all time, Metroid Prime scared the **** out of me whenever I was walking through those dark rooms in the Phazon Mines with like 14 HP and no energy tanks left.

Also, this is more of an issue I have, but if I consistently die on one thing I get pissed off and try to blaze through it, which kills me faster. This is why I occasionally cried in frustration while playing Super Mario Galaxy.

I always look behind me. Unless it's not a TPS or a FPS I always look behind me to make sure nothing is sneaking up on me and since I play TF2 now I do it even more often since not looking back once in a while is basically calling out for spies to backstab you.

I always take my time and explore every nook and cranny before proceeding to the next area. You never know if the place has a one-time secret!
I do the same thing and it pisses me off because it takes a lot of time.

all I can say is, the long/difficult road will usually end up being rewarded handsomely, and strangly most of the time I always end up choosing the right difficult path, though to me it doesn't matter because being a hardcore RPG'er I HAVE to explore everthing, I will get an uneasy feeling if I intentially skip over an area.

Lol I suppose you cried in desperate when playing BUldergeist Daredevil comet?
SMG is still my fav game of all times, and I really hated that mission, but when u once got it it's actualy fun to play again.

Also I forgot to mention that I always break all the items, like jars and stuff(zelda), I also search the place whole EVERY corner. Now if I for example don't have enough room to pick up a treasure from chest(again Zelda...) I write that down on a piece of paper to remind later.
This is why my favorite DS game was Zelda:phantom Hourglass, I loved thedrawing on the map and generally...only bad thing about it is that it's short and final boss just sux they should put in Ganondorf or better Vatii.
