Do I seem like a noob if...

I'm just wondering (because every noob I've come across seems to display
these exact properties) but, would you immediately call me a noob if:

1. I don't really play i just spam the C-stick the entire time and throw pokeballs around.
2. I favored Pit because of his forward + B (spam spam spam)
3. Kirby was my main and I constantly used the down + B at unecessary moments
(like, instead of up +B, I tried to recover using the down special *chuckle*)
4. I said that my main on BRAWL was Roy?
5. I bragged about getting a 1,800ft length on Melee's Home-run contest with Ike?
6. Everytime I lost I said it was because I wasn't really trying. I was "just sandbagging".
7. I camp in the middle of a free-for-all so that everyone else dies before me and rejoice
when I "win".

Im sorry, I'm not trolling or trying to seem like a ****** but these are things that I've
noticed with the recent noobs at the facility where I play brawl. it's actually becoming
depressing and I've given up hope on the world. Am I wrong for being kind of offended
by these kinds of people?

These are all just headache inducing... Most of the examples you cited would fit the player category of "scrub." Possibly "Mentally ********."

You'd be considered a Noob if you acted like a Noob. That's really all there is to it.

Most of those reasons is just laziness but otherwise though some of them are N00b reasons.

A lot of people say stop asking questions N00b or something like that but everyone has to start somewhere so if you don't ask qustions you'll never learn.

I currently am kinda a N00b to hacking SSBB though I'm pretty good at Mario Kart.

But I'll get better :D (hopefully.)

I probably should've been a bit more clear.
I don't want to say "noob" but those types of
people that claim to have played a certain game
(in this case, Brawl) and claim to be beast at it. Like there's
this one guy that SWEARS he is THE best Lucario out
there and brags about how he's so awesome and is
a serious Super Smash Bros. fan, yet he somehow
refuses to believe that Lucario is NOT on Melee (and
is supposedly a secret character that he figured out
how to unlock *cough* fail *cough*), when he plays
with Lucario on Brawl, he just spams the aura sphere
and is always the first to lose all his stock in a free-for-all,
and then he either blames his losses on the controller
or the fact that he "didn't feel like trying" (which is BS,
he just sucks). What do you call these kinds of people?
(I was considering "super noob" maybe?)

... That's not being a NOOB... that's just being ignorant...
How young is this guy? He sound incredibly Misinformed. I could care less about scrubby behavior, but to mix up information in Melee and Brawl is just... ignorant:ohwell:
I blame my luck on the controller sometimes ( my buttons become jammed and permanently stuck and the joy stick snapped in half, but...) These controllers are, of course, old controllers that I used back in mah Melee days.

I've come to the conclusion that he's just a pathological liar.
and thats pretty much it.

oh and he's said that it was because of the controller when
we've played with brand new controllers. bleh.

I wouldn't say he's a N00b as such but he doesn't want to think that people are better then him.
Or he's just a sore loser.

18 eh? Pathological liar... eh, I don't know him, so I shouldn't immediately assume that he's ignorant about the two games... Just sounds like he's trying to get on your nerves to me:chuckle:

Those examples you gave are somewhat forgivable, except for the Roy part..

that would make the person unaware that brawl has no roy (exepct for haxx)

but that Lucario guy...ugh... he's the type of person i'd like to just whack away with in a match...
that type of guy IMO deserves a hard lesson in SMASH

Why dont you just 1v1 the guy? and prove that he sucks. (no items so theres no shenanigans)

FFAs dont really prove anything, and its pointless to take them seriously.

been there done that.
like I said, he blames everything on either the
controller or his "laziness". He just won't accept it.
Apparently, one day he's gonna get serious and
"kick all of our *****" in brawl. *sigh*, like I said...
I give up.

I used to be the same way!
2 years ago, i said that lucario's ↑&B sucked in melee..
My friend told me, "Hes not in melee idiot!"
I felt some bit of stupidity...
But dont worry, you do better than me when i first started playing smash :)

I rate your play: ☆☆☆
Switch moves a little...

Happy Smashing!

I don't see anything wrong with C-Stick spam. It's the same as a smash just quicker. I used to C-stick everything, not so much anymore since I started maining Olimar. Sometimes it's necessary for certain tactics (ROB's spotdodge and Dsmash)

Oh, and that guy you're describing seems more like a scrub than a n00b. If I'm correct, a scrub is a n00b that thinks they are the best player ever and that everyone else is terrible.

I think my friends are noobs

They use kirby only and spam AAA jab and the rock. Say that final destination isnt a fair stage cause it doesnt have platforms and say that im too cheap cause I beat them using ganon

They also say that D3 and MK sucks cause they just are kirby clones and when they lose its always because they didnt fell like beating me lol

Spamming is just overwhelming.
Bragging, unawareness, and lame excuses are just ignorance.
Recovering and other strategies are tactical.

Overall, you AREN'T a noob, in my opinion.

That wouldn't be n00bishness, in my opinion, it would be simple ignorance.

Except for the 'Ike in Melee', thing. That's just stupidity.

When you haven't played in months and when you finally do face a lv.9 MetaKnight with Link you can't help but use Up+B for a KO move.

These kinds of people are just annoying. I just don't associate with them. And remember, noobs are there to make us feel better about themselves. Use them that way instead of having them put you down.

money match? Even if he says "he wasn't trying" you can just laugh and say "it's your money man...". Also offer to trade controllers, that usually shuts them up pretty quickly (or they give you a bad controller sometimes lol).
