Captain Toad, Daisy, Paper Mario, Waluigi, Nabbit and Petey Piranha.

EDIT: And that's not even the tip of the iceberg.

King Boo, E. Gadd, Birdo, Fawful, Boom Boom, Metal Mario, Baby Mario, Kamek and some regular goons can be used too.

I'd say Kamek and Baby Mario were more a part of the Yoshi series than the Mario series.

I still don't understand why he couldn't just port models from Super Mario 3D Land, Kirby Triple Deluxe, XY,etc though? Even if they didn't know where to find the models in XY or Mario 3D Land's data, couldn't they have just asked the developers of those games for instructions on where to find them or how to make them work? The only reasons I could think of are that his dev team was just more experienced with KI's models and could possibly make animations for them quicker or that the other model's would take longer to port or come out choppier for some unknown reason? I'm sure your right that he had a good reason to do so, but I'm having a really hard time understanding his reason.

Because he'd feel wrong just copying/porting the work of another developer.
It's an honor thing. Reusing what you have created is one thing but to "rehash" work you didn't do in the first place is.. yeah.

It is possible that any further entries into the Ballot will be voided past the deadline...the absence of the Movie List is rather curious though....

Even if they were adding new character trailers removing the entire list is kinda unnecessary...unless it's something else entirely...

or perhaps they just don't like movies anymore...I dunno...

Heavy, Scout, Demoman, Pyro, Spy, Soldier.

Medic is part of Heavy's Final Smash, Sniper and Engineer are part of the TF stage.

This whole idea of newcomers for a single franchise is silly. Quite a few series in the Smash lineup deserve at least one other character.

It'd be better, in the context of this idea to get 6 newcomers, with one series each. That's entirely more balanced. Personally, DK, Metroid, and Metal Gear(third party status be damned) would be my top three picks, and as filler(because I really want nothing beyond those three), maybe an extra Kirby and Zelda character.
