Technically Pit is more versatile and I like Pit better, but you can blame Sakurai for nerfing Samus in the first place. Her KO power dropped quite a bit after melee -_-
I love Pit's arrows, wings, and reflectors, but it's probably that versatility (especially the reflectors) that I think make Pit quite better, IMO, good against some projectile spammers, like Fox who was one of my previous problems as Bowser.

btw, Houston bites almost as bad as Samus. In order for Hylian to keep his SBR membership, I heard he was forced to either move out of the city, or give up Samus. He chose the latter.
