Diagonal Smash Attack?

I've seen samus pro's do this on a regular basis to ledge guard but have swore I've seen falcon pull it off too. My question is how do you pull this diagonal smash attack off and can falcon even do it? And if he can do it, is it even worth using?

when smashing with d-stick and A you tilt the stick along the diagonal. works the same way with the C-stick. I'm pretty sure falcon can do it as with many other characters. It can be done with some tilts as well.

good for elbowing someone in the nuts or chin thats about it, but i think its just a waste of an attempt becuase with falcon using elbows isnt really a smart idea, but if you do use it think of it this way does it really matter if you hit someone in the balls,stomach or chin? your gonna hit them anyways theres no point in it. but yes it can be done and with falcons f-tilt it can also be done

you can and I guess its worth doing on some edge guards.
A lot of characters can do it.

w/falcon is useful for situational scenarios such as uthrow to fsmash (tilted down) to catch a fastfaller that you'd otherwise not be able to do that to.

Falcons Ftilt, aimed downwards is a much better edgeguard than the Elbow of Justice, then again, so is his Utilt, the Heel from Hell, or you could just knee your problem to death.
