Someone talk to me about Ketosis and the Keto diet, then talk to me about high protein/low carb diets. I'm thinking about putting myself into Ketosis for an extended period of time to cut down on fat percentage, but I know with certainty that a high protein/low carb diet is certainly healthier for my hygiene and my overall body health.

Why diet when you're already so sexy?

Does anyone know which Kid CuDi song has the music video where he is walking around and there is a bunch of naked women?

Ah found it.

I'm actually not that cut and I lack definition. I don't have magnificent 6 pack abs or anything of that sort. Was considering cutting down my body fat percentage to around 8%-10%, then bulking to get an amazing physique. Then I came across Keto diets on a bodybuilding forum and I've been trying to find out everything about it since.

This all started because I saw Pumping Iron (documentary) the other day and since then I've been doing tons of research regarding what is takes to actually reach Arnold levels of physique. I seriously doubt I'd ever go that far though because I don't personally find Arnold levels of physique to be visually appealing in practically any context, but I wouldn't not consider getting to the level of amateur body builder.

I more or less just want to press boundaries and see what happens.

TLDR that I think is useful, even if you read that Praxis stuff already:

Keto works because it completely erases carb intake from your diet. As a result your body just won't get enough fuel and will have to resort to burning the next best thing -- fat. As a result you go keto and you get to eat tons and tons of fat and it is good for your body because you're hyperburning every ounce of it that comes in to fuel your day to day existence. So with the high fat foods you're getting tons and tons of protein (particularly when you're eating cheese and bacon pretty much every day and one of the two in most meals) which is of course great for building muscle mass, meanwhile your body is literally melting off your fat faster than you can put it in ya, and yeah, chiseled physique ahoy

I think Praxis also proved that the rumored ill health effects are all BS too

Pretty much the only reason I'm not on keto is because I can't afford it. When I graduate and thus can get a FT job on top of my current gig, and thus can afford the absurd amount of cheese and bacon needed for the diet, I plan to switch to it immediately. I've always carried a small bit of fatty bulk even at my most fit because I just can't afford to eat very well and just busted my *** like a mother****er to exercise most of it off, but I'm looking forward to starting a keto diet and really makin the :bigmuscles: pop

EDIT: oh right

also for your goals another reason keto is perfect is because being that trim will allow you to really see how much progress your workouts are making, allowing you to research how to juice up the muscle groups that are lagging behind, and then once you reach the right level of :bigmuscles: and chiseledness for you, you can just tone your workouts way down to the point of standard maintenance exercise, meanwhile you're eating keto, so of course your fat % isn't going to budge much if at all

btw try stronglifts. I've never done it, but I've read about it and the methodology is absolutely solid. They start you with absolutely nothing weightwise -- just the bar -- for every exercise. This will feel way too light at first, but that's the idea, because it lets you perfect the form. Then you maintain that form as you slowly add weight (every workout!) and it goes from "much heavier than just the bar but still easy" to "kind of hard" and then "this is pretty hard" and then "holy **** GETTIN A GOOD PUMP RRGHGHGHGH BIG MUSCLES". Eventually you'll plateau but judging by your goals I think you'll probably be about where you want to be, and if not you'll know a lot more about working out by then and will be able to use that + the internet to find some split routine stuff that can help you push through the plateau. Plus, y'know, bodybuilding forums and ****.

Also, stronglifts is free. You get a little ebook/pamphlet just by signing up for the newsletter (or that's what it said, anyway, there might be some attempts to cajole you into paying for the Inner Circle thing but you don't need it). It's piss simple, not a lot of exercises, pretty short workouts. That means it's perfect for a busy duder, and not frustratingly time consuming and complex. And you don't have to buy sups, and will probably get better results than most people eating like crap and supplementing because you'll be on keto, getting more protein than your body knows what to do with, literally

so, my advice is just start keto as soon as you can, do that for a while to get your body used to the new way of fueling itself (maybe a month or two) and research stronglifts and ****. Then just... start doin it. And soon, GLife and Mashad and I will be able to accept you to our brotherhood of big muscles with open, chiseled arms

I'm on the Halloween Oreo diet. Allow me to explain: I eat all of the Halloween Oreos. That there are. It is suiting me nicely.

Also, I didn't even know Cudi was still around. He dropped off my radar completely back in, like, 2010.

I tried so so so hard to find the bit in Red vs Blue where Donut and Grif talk about their diet, which consists of eggs and oreos. Grif had no idea he's so healthy -- and he hasn't even touched eggs!

Are bacon and cheese expensive in Canada/the US? You can get bacon here for as cheap as $5/kg... and cheese for about that as well. You'd obviously eat other foods on this diet... but bacon and cheese seems like the kind of diet I'd live off if I didn't still have a mother who cooks me lovely dinners.

Ahahaha. Red VS Blue. They really went downhill after they went super serious, I loved the old ones in Blood Gulch. Such a damn shame.

On another note, wow. I took my regular dose of Strattera today when I got up this morning. I was prescribed 60mg but I bumped it down to 40 because I had really bad stomach pains when I took it. I did 60 today because I felt the lower doses weren't working. As expected, I felt like complete *** at the very start of the day. I got to my school at 7:19 and felt absolutely fine until I ate breakfast. Around 7:40(?) I really just started to feel really sick to the stomach and felt like throwing up. 40 long, agonizing minutes of just laying in the bathroom like I just took shots; moaning and groaning included. Just recently, and I feel ****ing great afterwards. Just a sudden shot of energy to my system and this huge feeling of hyperfocus like Raziek said. I hate the side effects so much but I've noticed such a dramatic improvement that I can't afford to not take it. I looked up some procedural advice on how to take it correctly (I drank some Apple Juice with it, I simply CANNOT go without something to go with it) and a lot of people suggested to eat a huge breakfast or a PBJ. I might switch my Medication however because I don't have the time to make such a big breakfast and I can't just be kneeling in the bathroom for 40 straight minutes.

My mood seems better too. I wouldn't say extremely happy but without it lately I've felt groggy and just kind of not focused. I couldn't talk the same way I could with my friends and they all looked at me and said "Are you alright?" I feel like I'm thinking easier too, not slurring on my words.

maybe you could eat a heavier breakfast ?

Relevance: Do you mean huge as in a lot of food , or can it be huge in terms of fiber / other nutritional content, as usually fiber is pretty heavy and can make you feel fuller with less food.

Double Relevance : How much time are you looking at typically in the morning to get ready & eat ?

I had a cinnamon roll and some apple juice for breakfast when I got to school. I looked it up and it says that the Atomoxetine that Strattera has reacts badly to sugar. A large glass of water and something mild seems to do the trick for some people, but mostly others said that a big breakfast or something like PBJ works for them. I could take it at night but I feel like I wouldn't feel the same effects that I do when I take it in the morning, I used to take it at night on 40mg but by then it's just passed through my system.

Taking it at night is a no-go. Wake up earlier. It's the only way.

Are you able to get up earlier to make the time for breakfast?

:phone:
Maybe like 5:30ish? My bus gets to my stop at 6:38 and I shower in the morning and that takes about about 15 minutes of my time. My mom gets ready for work at that time too and there's only one bathroom at the moment that's available for public use.

Can't breathe, but the view is equal to the taste
Bear in mind, you should be taking Strattera at the same time every day, not switching it around, changing doses etc. So it makes sense that you've taken a while to see it have any effect. How long have you been taking it at that dose and time?

If you're not going to eat something, make sure to get a glass of water with it.

Are you really gonna cry about getting up early when the benefits to doing so are so huge?

Like, it seems a very clear choice to me.

I used to take 40mg consistently every night before I went to bed. I just started the 60mg at the end of Summer. I had the same side effects I had the day I first took it.

I could get up early but refer to that big discussion about my parents. It's not that easy and my stepdad hates when someone else is up early. He will make a huge tantrum.

This is one of those cases where you stand up for yourself and do it anyway because it's for your personal health.

Real talk, **** your stepdad if he gets in the way of your health like that.

He will literally ground me just for being up early and yell at me to go back to bed, waking up everyone in the house. He is a giant baby.
