I've heard people tell me i have a southern accent, my mom grew up in south carolina so maybe i inherited a bit of an accent from her, she gets really southern when she is pissed at me.

Most of nassau is like queens, aka almost NYC (nassau is almost nyc I mean). Suffolk is basically a giant farm, and we have an accent all our own, the longuyland accent (which I'm glad I didn't pick up, lol).
