For what it's worth, I feel like RF would be taken better than AM.

The most important thing is that play is strong, because we want them to see what works (despite their objections to the contrary) and absorb it. AM and RF are both strong slots, so that's covered.

The second thing, and nearly as important, is that we aren't shunned from the outset for the way we post. It's a fine line between being seen as grudgingly right, and being seen as an invading force touting "backwards" play: the latter puts us in a bad situation where we have to work exponentially harder to get Messers under our thumb, or even to get GMs to let us join their games.

A personality quirk that's too heavy is going to lead to the latter; Messers hate change. If they're busy objecting to the way one of us posts, then they're already on edge, and no longer listening to see if there's logical content underneath.

Then they talk, they get on Skype and in their social threads ("Have you seen this latest crop of newbs? You wouldn't believe the **** one of them tried to pull.") and suddenly we're facing the entire MS society, rather than forcing grudging acceptance on one player list at a time.

Assuming we join a 13 man game, how much influence do we want to take with us?

If you do it in packs of 3's it will be that much more satisfying. And prolly would give you more exposure etc because less people taking over a game.
